    Driver to power a 1W 808nm diode

3x or 4x amc7135 driver with one Li-ion will work good according to you LD's datasheet. No need to insulate IR LD because amc7135 is negative regulator(common positive, power and output). And should consider the safety. It can burn anything including your eyes. Good luck. SHIN

NJG-18, multimode boost driver for 445nm.. and possibly 650nm

Re: NJG-18, 3 mode driver for 445nm with single cell Hi. Kevlar. Red is case-negative and there is host-insulation problem. NJG-18's power(-) is not continuous with LD(-). But it's possible. One of pot-setting showed 350mA at HI. There are some other single cell driver for red(HI 350mA fixed)...

Re: NJG-18, 3 mode driver for 445nm with single cell 8-pin chip is IC for PWM AFAIK. One can bypass in order to use single mode.

NJG-18, multimode boost driver for 445nm.. and possibly 650nm

Re: NJG-18, 3 mode driver for 445nm with single cell I use as P60 type drop-in module and the driver faces Li-ion battery directly. Round insultion tape with center hole for spring, works fine. And 5-pin chip is located at the LD side of NJG-18. No problem with my 2 builds.

NJG-18, multimode boost driver for 445nm.. and possibly 650nm

Re: NJG-18, 3 mode driver for 445nm with single cell @DTR DX driver needs c1 fixation. I think there are some differences between the batches. @ped Hi. ped. Thank you. It's my pleasure if this can help members. SHIN

NJG-18, multimode boost driver for 445nm.. and possibly 650nm

Re: NJG-18, 3 mode driver for 445nm with single cell Nice build!! DTR. :gj: My driver is arrived from DX. There is a premade hole at LD(-) lead in this new batch. So I can solder LD(-) to IC pin at the other side, then can bypass UI.(no mode) I have a plan to insert a small switch...

NJG-18, multimode boost driver for 445nm.. and possibly 650nm

Re: NJG-18, 3 mode driver for 445nm with single cell Thank you for the explanation. qumefox. My specialty is way from the electronics. Sorry. 3zuli. My 2 of 445nm were connected to NJG-18 with no additional capacitor except heasink for 5-pin chip. After 1st build was finished with some...

NJG-18, multimode boost driver for 445nm.. and possibly 650nm

Re: NJG-18, 3 mode driver for 445nm with single cell I always surprise at your skillful "masterpiece". Thank you for sharing infos. There are some mode-group differences in NJG-18 because IC programming is slightly different between the batches. (from CPF) I wish your NJG-18's are those you...

Re: NJG-18, 3 mode driver for 445nm with single cell Hi. DTR. That's 8x amc7135 board. (8x 350mA=2.8A) But it's not boost driver for single cell 445nm, too. I appreciate your idea for 5-pin chip heatsink. Thank you.:yh: SHIN

Re: NJG-18, 3 mode driver for 445nm with single cell Thanks. lasereer. Good luck! I have tested about 20 LED drivers. I could find this only one for single cell 445nm. I believe you can find new one for 445nm..;) SHIN

Re: NJG-18, 3 mode driver for 445nm with single cell Hi. lasereer. As previously mentioned #39, I used a small heatsink for 5-pin chip like in microflex v5 (successful trial of DTR, Thank you. DTR) and 445-G-2 lens. 1.8A is for my dual v5 for the comparison of the power. I expected the power...

Re: 3 mode driver for 445nm, one Li-ion Hi. BShanahan14rulz. I use several amc7135 drivers for testing and building LD, especially IR LD with single cell. (2, 3,..8 with clip) There are wide variety of amc7135 based drivers with or without modes. I like that because I can "choose"...

Re: 3 mode driver for 445nm, one Li-ion I think LM series need 2 of Li-ion battery for 445nm LD. I heard when draining "high current" from serial 2 of Li-ions, there might be more possibility of the battery explosion according to their mismatch. So I have been searching and testing many...

    19-mode 445nm laser build

Hi. ReNNo. Congratulation. Nice build! Your 445nm seemed way over 1W because 1N4001 is for under 1A, so I think real current to 445 is over your measurement. And if you heatsink 5-pin chip of the driver, you may get more powerful 445.:yh: SHIN edit] And there is a way to change "modes" at DX...

Re: 3 mode driver for 445nm, one Li-ion Congratulation on your 1st 445nm, Renno. Do you have a LPM? My 2nd 3-mode one(5-pin chip heatsinked) shows: 100mW-400mW-1750mW(max. 1880mW) The current at Li-ion battery is: 140mA-620mA-3200mA My parallel v5(1807mA at LD) drains: 4.1 - 4.2A I think...

NJG-18, multimode boost driver for 445nm.. and possibly 650nm

Re: 3 mode driver for 445nm, one Li-ion Good news! I built another one with this 3-mode driver yesterday. The power at high mode showed max. 1880mW and then was stable at 1700-1750. This time I used a small heatsink for 5-pin chip that seemed like flexdrive's. And I built A140 with 2-parallel...
