    Thor H2 review

Saying that, I have only viewed a 50mW and 200mW 532nm and a 5mW 405nm through the goggles so far and they are very dim, especially the green. I know a few Watts is going to be in a different league, so will have to wait and see.

    Thor H2 review

I do actually have a pair of UK military issue laser goggles for my 532nm ones, they are very good. Doubt they'd be safe for a 445 though? Edit: Actually I just got them out, they're marked "general purpose laser goggle", they have a gold-bronze reflective coating on the outside, and to look...

I see they do both red and green glasses for 445nm, which would you say is better?

They appear to be red yes. What would you suggest for high power then? I hear eagles are good?

    Thor H2 review

I'll have to look up what the component parts would cost in the UK, but the ready made Zeus doesn't seem too bad once you factor in the batteries, they are about £10 ($13) each alone. The other thing that concerns me, is those glasses it comes with. I'm somehow dubious of them being up to the job?

    Thor H2 review

OK, I'll bear that in mind. Out of interest, which thor did you guys buy originally, I assume it was the 1.5w model? How much was that new? And what's it worth to buy now, in comparison?

    Thor H2 review

Is $180 expensive for a 3w then? Can they be gotten cheaper?

    Thor H2 review

About 180 USD all in. The batteries appear to be branded too, albeit that "grace" I haven't been able to find out much about.

I did have a look yes,and yes I'm in uk. My main attraction to the zeus brand/seller, is that they assure no customs issues, whereas the majority of others can't promise it.

    Thor H2 review

Hey guys. Have a question for h2 owners (Diachi, Paul?). I'm looking to get a 3w 445nm, and on fleabay I notice there's a company called Zeus lasers selling what appears to be an identical unit to the thor. If you look on there for "3w burning blue laser", you'll see it. The company is based in...

Green Laser Pointer Dismantle (NewWish type)

Basically the whole lot comes out attached to the front silver head. To get it out you need to grip the barrel with molegrips, and the silver head in a vice (as this piece is a bit stronger). This means you'll scratch it all, probably quite a lot! Then you need to pull the barrel away from the...

Are the new model Spymodex actually filtered now?

Re: Are the new model Spymodex actually filtered n You're right. Just needs to be put to rest, so others (esp. newcomers) can be assured whether or not these "2008" models are indeed safe or not from an IR leakage aspect.

    445nm and 473nm Laser Diodes

Trouble is, the first batch would have to sell for a few thousand dollars each!!

    300mW Green in pen case?

I can't remember what make it was now but it had a round black head on a stand, looked like a lollipop! Think it was science something? RA-pierce has a point though, it could just be 100mw of green and IR taking it above that maybe? I won't know until i get it on a 100% verified calibrated meter.

    300mW Green in pen case?

Well its funny cos it read my 50mw correctly so it cant have been rigged?

Are the new model Spymodex actually filtered now?

Now i know you pointer veterans are going to say "oh no, here we go again", but bear with us- I'd just like to clear up a point, the "new 2008" range of spymodex claim to be guaranteed IR filtered. So, I've bought one, claiming 300mW (still not convinced it's that much though). I went and...

    445nm and 473nm Laser Diodes

I suppose it's like anything new though, once pointer production got into full swing the price would come down. I can remember even the lowest power green pointers being over £200 a few years back. The manufacturing would be less complex with it being direct diode too, no awkward crystal sets to...

What about production of pointers? Would be big business surely?
