Go to the camping section at a sporting goods store and look for a sleeping bag mat that you can hike with..... they will have the kind with ruffles on it, smooth or whatever you want.... should be about 10.00 or less for a roll about 2.5 X 6 foot long.

Re: 1-1.2 watt 445nm lasers CHEAP $180 I think acetone will toast acrylic if you have the Aixiz lens. I found a microfiber cloth did wonders.... had one in a camera case. I tried the q tip alcohol and windex thing too... q tips are nasty with tons of little fibers and they are abrasive too...

Re: 1-1.2 watt 445nm lasers CHEAP $180 No reason you can't fire it up with an 18650 while your waiting. Chances are it will fire just fine since the battery is charged.... but expect about half power till you get your other batteries. You can always buy CR123's at the drug store.. but expect...

Here's my mini review of this laser I bought from DTR. First of all, DTR was very responsive and easy to deal with! I noticed in the youtube video that the penetration on CD cases were taking about a second or less.... but I'm assuming that was the G-1 lens at about 3 inches is what it looked...

Me too... great seller and very generous to toss in a charger and batteries for that price too.... Its a mean little laser!

Yep, thats why I finally decided I had to have one. While the big ones are cool, if you have to keep it at home I find it doesn't take long for it to become old news to all your close friends and relatives that actually come over to your house. Even the 18650 size is not practical to carry in...

Re: 1-1.2 watt 445nm lasers CHEAP $180 True, for instance.. if your trying to cut and penetrate.... smaller the beam the better. If your trying to burn the objective is the be above ignition temperature and as "big" as possible. Many materials won't flash well without a "collection" of heat...

I have the same tendency with my lights on my nightstand. I have a small pocket light with 250lumens and three others ranging up to 9600 lumens..... 99% of the time I grab the small one cause it does the job and doesn't create another project in itself just to carry it!
