What is a 2mW Green HeNe tube worth?

Re: What is a 2mW HeNe tube worth? Normal power supply won't work. HeNe tubes (depending on power) need a couple kilovolts at low current to operate.

Dragonlasers 10X Beam Expander - SOLD

Re: Dragonlasers 10X Beam Expander No. They go over the front of the laser.

Anyone want to sell 400+ mw 405nm?

Because using them in public without a variance and the safety features is illegal. Plus cops can kind of do whatever they want.

Anyone want to sell 400+ mw 405nm?

Building and owning a laser without the FDA safety features is legal in the United States of America. Importing one without said safety features, or selling one without said safety features, however, is quite illegal, yes.

    Are these 3.0v or 3.7v?

    That's why I didn't say I was 100% sure. ;)

    Are these 3.0v or 3.7v?

Green rechargeable CR2s are 3.7V. DX sells the same ones. (99.99999997% Sure these are 3.7V)

    DPSS Violet?

Even on the surplus market, heads like that sell for over a thousand dollars easily.

Re: FS: All my laser goodies. Because the case has scratches on it and a crooked hole?

FS: All my laser goodies. adding a Kenometer Pro

Re: FS: All my laser goodies. The sensor is fine as you can see in the photographs, the box is the only thing scratched, so I don't see how it's 'highly' damaged.

FS: All my laser goodies. adding a Kenometer Pro

Re: FS: All my laser goodies. This is basically a Kenometer Pro, but with a thermopile capable of handling 10W of laser power all in one box, you realize that right?

Kryton groove duty cycle @1A + SWITCH FIX inside!

Re: Kryton groove duty cycle @1A That's what was happening with Mario's switches as well. I don't think there are any other 16mm switches out there that work. You could try one of the switches from Light Hound designed for the Surefire lights, but they're like $10-12 a piece.

Kryton groove duty cycle @1A + SWITCH FIX inside!

Re: Kryton groove duty cycle @1A It's not the spring, people have put plenty of current through them before, remember they weren't designed for laser hosts, they were designed for flashlights. Try shortening the spring, I bet you it's shorting to the side of the host. MarioMaster was having the...

Dragon Lasers 9mw Aurora series BLUE review !!!

He's talking about how the OP wrote and drew stuff with his laser. He used long exposure settings on his camera and moved the laser around quickly.

    A140 melted bond wires

The bond wires are only designed to take 500mA. The die looks somewhat alright, amazingly :na:, so if you can get that solder out of there and the other bond wires aren't gone, it may be salvageable.

    A140 melted bond wires

It didn't really go COD though, it just melted the bondwires. @OP, try taking off the rest of the can as carefully as you can, it'll make resoldering those wires easier. The pedestal the die is mounted on is brass I believe.

    Lasers for burning?

Kind of the opposite. A milliwatt of energy is a milliwatt of energy, so 100mW of 532nm laser light will have just as much energy as 100mW of 660nm laser light. The burning factor comes into play with wavelength absorption. Shorter wavelengths are absorbed more easily than longer wavelengths...

    Tragedy!!!

Get a waterproof light, a net on a long stick, a snorkel, and hop in :eg: In all seriousness, that stinks :undecided:
