Sounds like it's too cold. Try heating it up for a while in your hands. It will most likely do the trick. Got a Viper myself, works the same way. Make sure you don't over-heat it though. Also make sure that the AAA batteries are 1.5volt or 1.6. Greetz, - Nicklas

assuming you are not running them on super-low mA's. I have a hard time understanding why the goggles would block it 100%. Anyone else knows? Too 'strong' goggles?

What kind of laser do you have? (How many mw's of output does it have?) It might be too weak? Seeing the laser dot with safety-glasses is essential for laser-usage with glasses/goggles. Greetz, - Nicklas

Sure. I see it. I tested the "does any light go through" once again with my 150mw Aurora. Nothing went through.

Still. Dragonlasers has already said that they will protect you for a few seconds with the high powerd lasers. They are made for accidental stuff. I've tested my glasses with both my Viper 75mw that's able to light matches. And my Aurora 150mw. None of them got through the goggles. Not one bit...

it seems like you want a rather specific reason of why the eye in fact is more sensitive to green, since that graph was not enough for you. quick search on wikipedia gave alot: A range of wavelengths of light stimulates each of these receptor types to varying degrees. Yellowish-green light...

silvercookie said it all. You are unsure about the safty about something that concerns your laser-usage. That should ring a bell in your head, NOT to do anything.

a greenie producing two dots instead of one is when it's mode-hopping, I think. Could be caused by the temprature of the laser beeing too cold at first? Make sure you're very careful with the q-tip cleaning. I'd recommend maybe tearing of the outer-layer of the q-tip to uncover the more softer...
