Review of the Sanwu Challenger II- 465 nm 2 Watt multimode

I use a large dark grey rock as a beam stop-and have a sink near by. In fact I use the counter for my set up. It's all in the focus. I do like the color!

Beautiful!! I love those colors! Very visible too. It looks like you were able to ignite the sun!

Review of the Directly-Injected 505nm Bluish-Green ("Mint Green") Laser Pen

Thanks! It's a lovely color. I could hope for more than 50 mW for improved visibility-but I do like the color. Also my own fog generator just arrived-so it should be quite visible once I set up the fogger.

Thanks Podo, Looks more like a 532 nm-without the DPSS! I like it!

Review of the Directly-Injected 505nm Bluish-Green ("Mint Green") Laser Pen

WOW! Somehow I missed this post. I'm tempted to get a real laser Star Trek Tos Phaser built. The one I've seen uses a 445 nm . I'd rather it use a 465 nm-closer to the color I recall from the series. That is a fascinating background! A TUBE computer for NORAD. I had no one who knew electronics...

    490 nm Lightsaber ;-)

Hi Dr. Evil,(my favorite character from the Austin Powers movies) I'd want to keep the sound and motion detecting features. The LED's I swapped out (2006) were probably NOT as bright as what is currently available. I've thought about getting a new RGB Ultrasaber-with better sound- and...

Nice! Can you see a difference from the 1W 520nm?

    490 nm Lightsaber ;-)

You are welcome! Thanks Paul! I have a Darth Vader Force FX replica from 2006 that they updated with a bright red LED-and saber attachment. And an Episode IV Luke Skywalker that I modded myself with a Cyan LED using parts from them. " DO you have an actual saber from them or just a blade? I...

Review of the Directly-Injected 488nm Greenish-Blue Laser Pen

So I'm guessing you'd not be interested in the effects of asparagus on Wee Glow? Just kidding-I'll stick to fungi and arachnids-perhaps some minerals. I'm wondering if a 365 nm might be a better choice than the 395 nm I use. was used to suppress the background with the Scorpion pics.

    light sabers

Very nice Dr.Evil! I've some modded ForceFx LS from the mid 2000's. Much brighter LED's are now available. Ultrasabers carries a wide variety of blades and lengths for those. Here is an Ultrasabers blade with my 150 mW 492 nm Sanwu laser

Pee Whiz! Now that is funny! Try it with a vial of Whiz-mind the reflections. :-)

Review of the Sanwu Challenger II- 465 nm 2 Watt multimode

I'm curious as to what sort of experiments you embark upon! So if I understand this is using a host from a member called "Sinner?" I read DRT's post on his "Green Hulk?" " MS-SSW-II " I do wear goggles when looking at the focused beam spot-for certain!

Review of the Sanwu Challenger II- 465 nm 2 Watt multimode

Another beam shot- smokin' wood. I have yet to get a fog machine. The big over exposed spot is the flat dark gray rock I use as a beam stop.

Review of the Sanwu Challenger II- 465 nm 2 Watt multimode

Since it takes a quadrupling of power to appear twice as bright that make sense. Are they both Jetlasers? I don't have any at this point. They are very bright!

Review of the Directly-Injected 505nm Bluish-Green ("Mint Green") Laser Pen

I too have achieved later mid age. Being a kid and a fan of Lost in Space, and the original Star Trek sealed my fate as a laser fan! Although other than "The Menagerie/The Cage" they used "phasers," Funny, in the Cage they brought down a "laser canon" to burn through some rock- and all put on...

Review of the Sanwu Challenger II- 465 nm 2 Watt multimode

"cistercian, post: 1547122, member: 16411"]I was burning with one of my big 520nm jetlasers last night, I recharged the cells and it outputs 966mw. My other one does 1243mw @ 520nm. I am charging my new 26650 cells for my 3w+ 465nm PLE-PRO that is on it's way. Oh nice! 1243 mW of 520 nm. Bright-...

    Review: 2W 405 by thanhtung

RA_Pierce- I imagine the beam is visible when the lights are low-not just in the dark with 2W! Now I want a 2W 405 nm! I like making them light up too. I'm ordering a 365 nm UV flash as my 395 lights up everything. I like the lack of backround violet in RA_Pierce's sporpion, solpugid, and...
