    Green laser lighting orange plastics

    Pretty-now I have to try!

Review of the Sanwu Challenger II- 465 nm 2 Watt multimode

I look forward to seeing it. I requested a G7 lens. I have a 3X expander (stainless steel). Laser gets hot faster so I don't use it much.

Review of the Sanwu Challenger II- 465 nm 2 Watt multimode

Infinity focus. My attempts are from around 8 inches away-trying to get the smallest dot possible.

    Hello from Sheridan County, Wyoming

Welcome! I stumbled in here after buying an Ebay "Cat Toy" 532 nm Green pointer for presentations-only to find it was way too bright. Now I am a little bit hooked on the subject.

Need "Reverse" PBS for 20W "laser tank gun" prototype - do they exist?

Very interesting project! Did you lose power earlier through destructive interference? Anyway- fun project. You might need to repaint your wall. Luckily it was not a dark color.

    Laser Knowledge Test

4/10. I don't feel TOO bad when a knowledgeable person like Paul only does a little better. :-)

Review of the Sanwu Challenger II- 465 nm 2 Watt multimode

Evidently none of my "lower power" lasers focus that perfectly!

Watching him jump around with that laser made me cringe!

Try this... if you own a 488nm (may work w/ others IDKFS)

Hey Hakzaw1, I was just noticing how my 465nm changed my perception of my 492 and 505. Not as drastic as yellow-but by itself the 492 looks cyan-with the 465 the 492 looks blue-green. I'll try it with a 532nm. EDIT: my 532 just looked YELLOW (when I point it next to the spot of the 462 nm).

Hey guys just signed up just trying to get into the laser groupies

What's your eye protection-IE what make and specification? The cheapie ebay one won't save your vision from a 1W laser-if you have not already look for an Eagle Pair https://www.survivallaser.com/Eagle_Pair_190540nm_OD5_Standard_Laser_Safety_Goggles/p556088_2780808.aspx

Hello from the San Fernando Valley

Welcome! Paul just said what I was going to say. The glasses should be red. Also there are many cheapie reds on Ebay-don't buy them! You want something that is measured to absorb 450 nm light. The unit used is OD or Optical Density. The Eagle Pair mentioned by others in this thread will work...

Review of the Sanwu Challenger II- 465 nm 2 Watt multimode

HAHA! Lets see a pic or two! I use it as a low accuracy LPM. My 532 nm Gatling "200 mW" will light a match in 20-30 seconds as will my 150 mW G7 lens Sanwu 492. The 2W will cut the wooden matchstick in half in that time-or faster. I think any 1W or greater will light instantly. I've seen people...

    More bad safety

OUCH! Yes-SAFETY first. That Youtiube vid really bothered me. I posted a comment-lost in the "cool dudes!" comments. I first saw Laser Safety glasses on the original Star Trek-original Pilot- The Cage. I read bout safety-and got a few Eagle Safety glasses

Fantastic ArcticDude! Aurora+ Lasers- very lovely!

    More bad safety

Compared to you-I'd not be surprised if you've looked far longer than I. :-) I've not seen someone waving a powered on Class IV so carelessly before. They have a lot of watchers who may try this-wearing SUNGLASSES.

    More bad safety

That is the worst I've seen. It's sheer luck no one lost vision.
