    Lens?

The axiz lens WONT burn out if the back is openned. btw i killed a 445 for using the lm317t driver with a 0.2 ohm resistor insted os 1 ohm. My meter was damaged and the reading was terrible. (the outuput was huge of course!! probably more than 2W) it lasted 5 min or so -.- and gess what, i was...

    BEST? 445nm laser driver

Hey. I recommend you tu use the FlexDrive v5 from Dr.Lava, it costs 26$. It has a max range of 1.5A and it´s a quite efficient driver, almost every one uses the v5. At 1.5A, you should get 1700mW. Keep in mind that at those currents ( above 1W ) any driver will produce alot of heat and it´s a...

    Help Building Test Load

So you say that using 5x 1N4001 diodes is the best for testing a 445 diode right? In modwerx, there is a test load circuit wich has 6 diodes, do i need to remove one or it doesnt really matter if i use 6?

    1w 445nm blue laser driver

Hey. You can use the flex drive v5 from Dr.Lava, use the preset current option when ordering one. If you plan to drive your diode at that current you will need to heatsink the driver using thermal glue and a piece of aluminum.

Zoombie 445nm laser right out of the box

hey. I didnt solder the wires. this was just a quick set up, i used tape xP

Zoombie 445nm laser right out of the box

hey. i did set the current and the pot was alright. but dont understant one thing, why cant i use the laser as a test load? doesnt the test load simulate the resistance of the diode? Whats u mean by DMM

Zoombie 445nm laser right out of the box

I was about to that, cuz i notice that thre are some gaps between the module andthe heatsink. thanks man

Zoombie 445nm laser right out of the box

Yeah i already covered the connections to be safe. thanks!

Zoombie 445nm laser right out of the box

I just connected the laser to the driver and set the current.

no, I didnt have one at the time.

Zoombie 445nm laser right out of the box

sorry i didnt know that this was a tipical output of a 140´s diode. What about other 445nm diodes? do they have this stripes aswell? My last diode had a clean light and seemed so much powerfull.

Zoombie 445nm laser right out of the box

Your right, the top of the pot is missing! but i dont understand.. it keeps outputing 1.5A xD

Zoombie 445nm laser right out of the box

My last 445 laser had a very neat light, there wasnt a single stripe. So i thought that this had some kind of problem. Yes I have a meter and my batt is fully charged. btw i´m using 405/445nm lens from o-like.

Zoombie 445nm laser right out of the box

Hey everyone. So basicly i got a A140 diode recently and it seems to be a problem. Since I turned it on for the first time, the output hasnt been normal at all. The laser is well heatsinked and i´m running it at 1.5A with the micro flex drive heatsinked powered by a 18650 lipo batt. See it for...

Where did you get the coper heatsink?? I have the same flashlight! bought it on dealextreme :)
