I think you cant use those two from dealextreme. A green module with driver(with spring) is too long to fit your 10440. I wont bet, but i think it doesnt fit. And btw, if you plan using a high power module, you shouldn´t use the stainless steel host cuz it sucks pulling the heat from the module...

Could these drivers be the answer to my thread about a LOC linear driver? The mission was to feed the diode with 500mA with a linear driver using only one li-on. We talked about alot of drivers and we agreed that it was not possible without some boosting ;( This one as .5 dov. Any thoughts?

If i remeber well, with the acrylic red there were some wings next to the dot i think and with the glass lens the dot was cleaner.. am i right?

That doesnt mean it´s harmless. It might use 1.5v but it boosts to around 3 to meet the diode`s voltage and current.

My 100mW green laser pen draws 600mA. At this currents, most reds and violets will die so you should build a dummy load to adjust the output.

What batteries can it take? If it takes one AA then you can use a 14500 li-on 3.7v with a flexdrive V5 set to 1A. It will output around 1W with 445 coated glass lens. The run time wont be nothing special because of the size of the battery.

I see.. The only reason u maneged to build your mosquito was because the volage of the 635 is lower comparing to locs? So the only way is to wait for the flex then (if i want to use one li-on). Why are they out of stock for soooo long?

How long does the li-on last at 1A?? If it can hit 1A can it drive a 445nm?
