I was convinced it could buck aswell -.- So i see the picture now. How would you feed a LOC with 500mA in a 14500 host? Plz you cannot split the batt in two :p Theres an LED driver that does that perfectly, it´s the "4Pack" driver. Its the only way i see under 2$ hehe.

Thermal tape. If i remember right, lazeerer used it in his 2W build, around the module. But i guess you can wrap it around the sink, if your dealing with a press fit. "no problem" he said :beer:

Hi rhd! Well, It´s not very common to use linear drivers on a LOCs with one cell right? There arent alot of options and it doenst take long for the batt to drop in voltage and not being able to supply what`s needed. I mean people use boost drivers on locs all the time.. I thought you could...

Hi yobresal So you couldn`t get more than 1.2A with one cell? Thats not good :( You could try to by pass the pot with a wire. Have you tried the other one? the 600mA one?

I´m pretty familiar with this diode, if i remember well, my first laser was a 16x in axiz module driven by 2x AA with only a cap across the diode and it still alive! Of course i never ran it for more than 10 secs straight but they´re so tough! Thats why i said 300mA is ok, expecialy with that...

You should have no problem at 300mA on that heatsink. I forgot to mention.. nice beam shots!
