What battery are you using? I wouldn`t use the crappy one that comes with the laser. Try using a better one like a Sanyo or Panasonic before contacting susie and asking for a replacement.

Yeah if you guys say its constant voltage and the input is to high, then i wont risk the diode as i only have one coming :/ I will have to find another driver then. Thanks for helping guys :yh:

The problem with the voltage regulated drivers is that the current increases as the load gets hotter right? This isnt the case because the current drops right away. You think i could use this driver? My concern is if the 3 diodes are acurate with this driver.

You could hang mini poppers on your window (like the mini hanheld party conffeti cannons), extend the cord and pull it from your bed. Its harmless and brilliant :D I remember kipkay used them to make one or two videos.

Quick tip: The best way i found out to measure the heat produced in any flashlight is to put it between your upper lip and nose. You can even feel the slightest increase. Avoid using your hands.
