    505nm diode?

I have read through that thread before, and didn't get a good impression. It seems nice for having it all packaged up, but both the accuracy and precision weren't reliable. I have repeatedly tried to use diffraction gratings for wavelength measurement, but just couldn't get a linear fit like...

    505nm diode?

If I want to buy a few and find the shortest wavelength among them, what would be a realistic way to spectro these? I would love an excuse to buy a spectrograph (and honestly might if this pans out) but want to know if a handheld analog spectrograph with a scale can give me the resolution I...

    505nm diode?

If they were to turn out to be 505nm or so, I would snatch the opportunity. I, too, have been wanting to get close to the 500nm blue-green for quite some time. I still do not know how much hope to put in to it, because I've been disappointed before with 488nm. I definitely hope it turns out to...

SALE - PRICE REDUCED Sanwu Challenger II 4,000mW 470nm G7 Lens w/ Batteries & Charger

Re: FS - Sanwu Challenger II 4000mW 470nm G7 Lens w/ Batteries and Charger I would recommend you resize the images to be friendly, as they are too large to see right now. Other than that, this is a nice little laser with a big kick. Good luck!

    NUBM44 6W+ 450nm Laser Diode

On that page, he is using a DC power supply, but in current-regulating mode (the red light by the word "current"). This allows the DC power supply to act as a driver directly passing regulated current to the diode.

    Custom Sinner host builds

I am wondering, what is this one here? I am looking for the smallest copper host I can find, and that looks pretty nice if it could hold a diode and battery. Have you seen a smaller copper host anywhere?

    Sale thread/ Hosts/Heat Sinks/Focus adapters/lasers

What price are you looking at with the blue copper Maglite, and does it still have a diode in it? Also, is the focus ring too long to let the beam be wider than a focused beam? I am looking for a long run capable high power unit, but I need to be able to defocus it to do beam expansion...

    16x BDR-209 and electrostatic charges

The BDR-209 is a notoriously delicate diode. I have personally lost a couple just to seeming chance. As electrostatic discharge is already a big risk with laser diodes, extra caution is advised.

Do you have pictures of the goggles, perhaps?

    Custom Sinner host builds

I have one of these, and it is a great host. Correct me if this one is different, but mine has a screw-in heat sink and module. The solid one in the middle is the extended copper from Survival Lasers, for comparison. I found the best way to get it all in there was to have the driver mounted...

Weird pattern on new 520nm green

That rectangle shape is perfectly normal with this diode when using a G2 lens. A 3-element won't have this nearly as strong. It come from reflections of the shape of the end of the emitter inside the diode, I think, and a G2 is closer to the diode and catching more of that light.

    6/4/17 bunch of lasers:)

Re: Pman SALE "updated" 3/2/17 includes M462 and NDB7875 plus a 5A 07E and c-mount 63 I was the one who picked it up, and I agree that it's an amazing unit. I'll be coming out with some diffraction grating measurements of the wavelength soon, but none of my cameras pick up on the difference...

What is the main cause of power drop off ? Updated with new info

Re: What is the main cause of power drop off ? Hopefully, if you have a proper driver, it would keep the current constant by upping the voltage when the resistance rises. DPSS are much more sensitive to temperature, but you might be experiencing the same with your diode. How much is it dimming...

Why are blue lasers much higher output than green lasers ?

For a single photon, yes, energy is directly proportional to frequency. Though, I'd imagine the total output is much more affected by efficiencies in diode technology. Edit: Diachi beat me to the explaination and gave a more thorough one.

Re: PERMANENT THREAD: Ebay& other internet FINDS of interest- read all the OP please If anyone is interested in combining or splitting colors in a not-so-efficient manner, I found some 2in x 2.5in x 2.5in cross dichroic cubes from an LCD projector here: Cross Dichroic Prism Glass (x-cube) 2 x...

Laser Guide Stars: The most stunning yellow lasers

What's the technology behind these that they can produce 22W of 589.2nm light? I only know of pulsed dye lasers that can approach that.

Huge sale! New things added! :d

Re: HUGE SALE! Tons of wavelengths! :D I'm taking these from my Samsung S6 (the one that doesn't blow up). After playing with the angle and distance I found that unfortunately no, I'm not emitting more than one wavelength. What I was seeing was reflections from within the layers of glass behind...

Huge sale! New things added! :d

Re: HUGE SALE! Tons of wavelengths! :D I got my 589 Spartan today in the mail. After VERY carefully checking my polarities (there is a little icon etched into the host) I clicked it on. Wonderful gold photons streamed right out. I'll post some photos later. For now, I've discovered it likes it...
