Good grief… you must be bored and a Karen of sorts..
This is a forum, on the OPEN and FREE internet, meant to provide info for those that don’t know the info, and to ask questions.. stop being such a downer.. the site itself has the info for safe lazing, not you. I’ve been a member on more...
With the single fan or dual fan, top mount design, my idea was to mill out 2 slots, in an incomplete triangle pattern. This would allow for cooling to be more towards the center, with the heat being pumped towards the exterior of the heatsink, to allow the fans to remove the heat transferred to...
LPM measurement after 15minutes of run time…
This is a Osram PLPT9-450LB_E diode running with a Convoy 6V/5A boost driver, fans are powered via bench supply at 8.2V
So after quite a few builds, I’ve found some great Convoy drivers that work perfectly with the Nichia 1W-2W 520nm Green laser diodes.
This Convoy 6V/3A, 22mm boost driver comes in a 2 different colors/options; Purple (multi mode selectable/12 groups/sub options) and Blue (4 mode): but I have...
So my buddy Jim wanted me to post up these pictures of one of my recent projects. Using some of his extended heatsinks for the Convoy M21A/C8, I have milled out some improvements.
First, I’ve got these custom assembled, dual and single high speed 30mm fans that snap onto the heatsinks. With...
I am curious to why you bend the posts into eachother like that? I know you’re doing this to protect from ESD but that method also moves the posts within the diode and could lead to diode failure. I’m not sure where to buy them, but there are these small plastic/metal pieces that do the same...
I’ve gotten a bunch of diodes from AliExpress and that looks like someone etched the original “QR-code” to keep from identifying the diode.. I’ve seen this done to NuBB23 diodes and some other NUBMO-5W blue Nichia diodes. The marking in the center is a mini QR-code, which is most likely used by...
I knew the G-Ball was a G2!! But I think it has some AR coating ? Haha I was looking at it the other day and I saw the same rectangle output on the bottom of the beam spot. Good to know thanks man!
Also, I emailed you regarding those drivers
Here’s some of my work.. I’ve built about 20 lasers at this point, and I’m working on copper heatsinks that will have 2-3 TEC plates installed within slots made in the backside as pictured.
I also have “retrofit” high speed 8.4V fans that clip on the heatsinks and they allow for stable output...
Hey I’ll take you up on that offer!! Haha
I’ve got some projects underway and plans implementing TEC plates installed within slots in the heatsinks and high speed fans on the outside.. I’ve purchased over 60 TEC plates and I’ve done quite a bit of testing with drivers to find a proper power...
Hey brother, I’m sure you’re busy but I’m looking to buy a Maglite heatsink from you, I have a 3-Cell D heavy duty Maglite.I would like to have it without any diode mount holes as I’ll be mounting a NuBB24 diode array on it. I’m ready to buy asap, I’m located in Michigan. Let me know when you...
Another question, have you tested the NUBMOF and similar collimated diodes before removing the ball/can? I’m curious how much that ball actually reduces output?
I was playing with a NUBMOF ball diode the other night and the collimated output is pretty much spot on unless you want to pointlessly...
Also, it’s only us 3 in this thread lol if they see me and J side by side, it’s not a competition. He’s a vet. If anything it’s more of an advertisement for him.
Besides this post, I’m not someone who does that kinda stuff.. I’ve been on a ton of different forums and I understand the rules, I get it.
And yes, I’ll take a donor badge. I made the donation in February or March? Do you need my email to check ?
