Some new design ideas w/TEC plates and High Speed fans…

again, the TEC plate current needs to be dialed in with a specific setup.. The point is to have the inner diameter of the heatsink cooled, while having the heat created from the diode pulled from the center And pushed to the outer portion of the heatsink, where the fans will cool it.. and no...

    New Laser Build!!

Saying “you ain’t gotta lie to kick it bro” is a light hearted way of saying, stop the BS and be real. If people can’t take let that roll of their back, then that’s their issue.. I didn’t know we had to adhere to strict church-like guidelines.. but saying his laser with NUBM47 diode was hitting...

    New Laser Build!!

I wasn’t being rude, I was just saying, be straight brah.. I admitted I made a mistake and I always make sure to correct myself first.. I helped him fix the issue fyi. But anyone exaggerating claims, should be called out… it’s misleading, especially if he’s selling his products…

    New Laser Build!!

You ain’t gotta lie to kick it bro, I’ve never see. A module that’s not threaded deep enough to allow for lens contact.. it’s ok to say you made a mistake, I admitted I made the same one.. So you have $500 in G2 lenses? Fer why?? I build lasers and I’ve never seen a need to keep more than 10...

Some new design ideas w/TEC plates and High Speed fans…

If you read all the way thru, it was the start of milling the slot, the design is supposed to be a fully milled slot about 42mm deep… And no, you’re 100% wrong about short circuiting the TeC plate lmfao, where is the contact point ?? There is none, not thru ceramic plates bud… I think you’re...

    Disappointed....

I mean, I feel like that’s expected with any Chinese/overseas company.. have you ever dissected one of their products ? They look shiny on the outside but I have doubts about the build quality.. I’d love to see the insides of those expensive hunks of metal…

The white photosynthesizing beam of this RGB laser works very well

I know this thread is a schammer- But for real, “photosynthesizing” lol a laser diode would be a horrible “unit” to use for horticulture lighting. I’ve been growing cannabis for over 10years now, and I’ve been building custom LED fixturz since I started in the industry. Using a unit like the...

Drilling a hole in a first surface mirror

I’m a glazier and I’ve been cutting glass since I was 10 years old. There’s some good info but DM me if you want professional advice on this. You need a diamond tip bit, proper cutting fluid and you’ll need to make a small pool for the fluid to stay in while drilling. Absolutely zero pressure...

INFO: PNP 22mm 6V/3A Convoy boost drivers for Nichia 520/525nm Green diodes!

I recommend the purple driver. The black driver isn’t even posted on AliExpress/Convoy store. I ordered 10 of the purple drivers and I got some of those black ones, so I don’t fully know the stats on them, but they are 6v/3A drivers from my tests.. With the purple driver, you get your choice of...

    New Laser Build!!

Yeah I had the same issues, but that’s obly Cuz your not screwing in all the way in, it needs to be about 2mm away, or even 1mm.. that or you’re putting in in backwards.. the DTR G2 lens is absolutely perfect and it’s a user error, not the hardware.. insert the lens and screw it all the way down...

Some new design ideas w/TEC plates and High Speed fans…

Here’s my results of driving the NUBB24 diode array at different power levels. I’m using a 6S, 22.2v (25.2v), 1300mAh Li-Po battery as my power source. The driver is a non-isolated DC-DC booster, 600w, 20A input. I’ll post pics of the entire setup later. I’m running 20AWG coated copper wiring...

Some new design ideas w/TEC plates and High Speed fans…

Ok. So the reason I didn’t see a voltage increase is because I had connected the negative line on the voltage meter portion of the voltage/amperage meter. When running these meters from a common power supply, that negative line needs to be left disconnected. Since I have now tested the NUBB24...

I’ve got a lot of experience in a lot of different fields.. if I had a lathe I would’ve already dropped the NUBB24/28 laser…

Some new design ideas w/TEC plates and High Speed fans…

(I have since posted the answer to my own question, I had improperly connected the 9-in-1 multimeter. See my updated reply to this post on page 3. I included a picture of my recent testing of the NUBB24 diode running at 3A.) DISREGARD THIS POST—— SEE PAGE 3 Another discussion side topic...
