Also, sometimes it doesn’t hurt to dab a little thermal compound on the module if the fit is a little loose. If you can get copper shimming that works too. If you use thermal compound, use a silicone base. Unlike epoxies it breaks free easily when time comes. SGD🍻

The first 16x lasted about a year. Not bad. The second a 12x only a couple months I think. And I don’t drive diodes too the gnat’s ass limit either. I’d like to maybe try that 350 soon. SGD🍻

Mine has had two diodes now. Both run mainly on a SL driver. I have a suspicion therefore I’m retiring this driver for 405s at least. I may just use it for a low dose red diode or something later. Good luck SGD🍻

Most of the 505 diodes are case positive. That said, unless your driver is also continuous positive you’ll need to isolate the diode from the host. Someone on here might have a blitz linear ( cont +) they might sell to you. That’s what I have running mine. Survival lasers doesn’t sell them...

A little Cu heatsinking on the IC of the 1500 will do that driver good. Especially, if you can mend that heatsink with the host. SGD🍻

Jordan, thanks for answering about the .500 and 1.5A x-Wossee drivers. They get really freakin hot and FAST at max I w/one cell. I put Cu cube on the chip and Cu wafer on bottom and the driver has far more run time now. SGD🍻

Thanhtung, did you happen to reconfigure your drivers to properly regulate current? It would be outstanding to have more driver options. They must function properly. Anyone can run a diode on a flashlight driver just fine. BUT, it will not last long. Hope to hear good news. SGD🍻
