Infrared lasers are not dangerous as they say?

I would lean toward more dangerous, the fact that they are nearly invisible means your eyes will be far more dilated and you'll likely have no blink response if a beam hits your eye. Your retinas will be wide open to injury and you wont notice it until you feel it.

    Selling my Krypton

It's recommended (especially for high value items) that you post at least one picture with your LPF name + date written on a piece of paper to show that it's actually in your possession. Good luck with the sale though :)

    Getting rid of my laser

These stats are pretty nonsensical, I'm not sure how reliable the mW rating could be with a description like that. Either way like others have said, if used properly they can be very safe. Just make sure you educate yourself and learn the right way to use them.

    How well will a 500mW 405nm burn compared to a 1W 445nm?

Lower wavelength light is higher energy, that's why you'll notice lower wavelength lasers burn more efficiently than higher wavelength counterparts of the same mW rating (in most cases). This thread should also help you a bit...

    Safety question 300mw 405nm

Your eyes are the biggest concern, make sure your goggles are performing as well as advertised (many cheap ones do not). Pass the beam through a corner of one of the lenses and it should be about as dim as a cheap $3 red pointer on the other side. Make sure you're always aware of anyone else...

    end

Re: FS: Polarized Beam Splitter Cube A PBS cube can be used to combine 2 lasers based on polarization instead of wavelength. This means you can combine 2 lasers of the same wavelength (which you cannot do with dichros) by having one of them rotated 90 degrees. Two reds go in, one red comes out.

    Feeler/selling: Sodium and Potassium Metal

It's really surprising how little is required to buy sodium online. I keep records of everyone I've sold hazardous materials to (from their proof of ID) and always ship under hazmat guidelines and with proper MSDS and safety information included. All it takes is a good bit of precaution and...

    Suggested mount glue?

I agree 5 minute epoxy is great, you can bond just about anything to any surface and its very rigid when cured as well.
