I have a bunch of low power 405nm and 532nm pointers on hand, if you need a specific low power range pointer you can PM me, I can meter one specifically under a safe level for you. Even the 30mW you mentioned probably isn't the safest to use around kids as an accidental beam to the eye can still...

This is really not that shocking.. even outside of China :(

If you only need it to temporarily show the pattern, you might consider checking the link in my signature. There are a few options there which can respond to 405nm lasers and is easily visible in daylight, just not for very long.

I couldn't get the driver to work on W7, but it worked fine in my virtual machine running XP. It should work with any ILDA projector.

I'm selling an iShow 2.3 USB DAC in like new condition with the original USB and ILDA cables/box and a copy of the iShow software on a CD. It's only lightly used and no damage or anything like that. I don't have a good camera handy at the moment but it looks as depicted in this stock image...

How much could you offer for a 200mW red dilda style + 2 batteries + charger + cheapo safety glasses? 2-3 hours of run time and about 4 recharge cycles on the battery.

They were most likely reinstalling their content management system and then importing the product database from backup, you probably caught them in the middle of that process before their product database was back up.

As the result of much boredom, I decided to see if I could make a laser float in the air for some reason. :thinking: It's attached to a large neodymium magnet and suspended by a hall effect sensor controlled electromagnet (above) PS. now accepting donations for a better camera lol

As the others have said, don't pay much attention to the labels. They will often just dress the lasers up in such a way that they look compliant/legit to get through customs and look more professional. Often times the labels are entirely incorrect though. As as I understand though 3R is limited...

Apparently he spotted a helicopter flying by late last night and said there was an extremely bright green laser shooting up at it from somewhere on the ground and hitting it. :wtf: I would not be surprised if someone was arrested, and I hope it wasn't anyone from LPF as I think most of us know...

This whole thread is really impressive, the progress you've made from knowing almost nothing at the start to assembling that projector was astounding. I really like the designs of your optical mounts as well, they look very well made. Looking forward to more pictures of this as it progresses :beer:

Most blue/violet blocking glasses I've seen were yellowish as well, maybe a link to the product would help.

That host and beam shot look really nice, makes me think of a TARDIS :P thanks for sharing.
