Then I'm pretty sure that the LPM is at fault, as it isn't equipped for over 1W and showed problems with that power. Not to mention the reflections.
Thanks!
—UPDATE—
I went to the local university's physics department and metered my lasers with this: http://www.coherent.com/downloads/LMC2009_catalogRevA_2.pdf
It only goes up to 1W, but told me my laser was metering at roughly 900mw. The max it is supposed to show is 999mw, and I was seeing <900mw...
And I'll add in that I ordered the SL I 1.2W package + goggles, and I am highly pleased with his professional attitude, quick support, fast shipping and high quality components.
I'm wondering what they will do with their leftover stock of lasers... They had at least 100+ in stock when they all vanished, I doubt that they just threw them out.
Re: DAoO LASERMASTER 2.2W Beast "NOT" SCAM
Found this juicy tidbit of DOX on him.

Anyone want to order him some pizzas?
Hmm, since you don't have a LPM, test it by burning stuff?
Oh, and you're going to need laser glasses if it's powerful enough. I'm guessing it is, so you should go buy some.
Wow, they actually did it!
All >5mw lasers have vanished... I wonder what they will do with their leftover stock?
And I guess that we can't get Firedragons anymore? Or are there other retailers?
I'm sorry, but we're allowed to quote WL's terrible record here, it's a public privately-owned forum, and we have MORE than enough evidence to back up our claims.
It actually hops wavelengths. My glasses only protect up to 540nm, yet my green pointer often (but not always) goes through them, although it usually doesn't. This implys a (small) wavelength shift occurs in these cheap pointers.
