    What Happened to Lifetime17?

Your such a self centered Bitch that you don't even bother to read the posts on this thread of why Lifetime left. You say ""Are there people here who work on a lathe"" Again you don't bother to read the posts here.. Just leave again, all your posts are stupid nonsense.. and you say...

C3 Razor (1.6w 450nm) Any recommendations for batteries?

I would think its more from the heatsink hole for the laser module being drilled a little bit off center.

    Best safety goggles available

Eagle glasses are a good. I would get a pair that have a 50% VTL. They come as regular size glasses or a tiny bigger slip over type iff you wear regular glasses.

    What Happened to Lifetime17?

A couple things I forgot ad.. The grey host above your black 501B had similar host were the inditations were open and you could see heatsink in between the open inditations. Looked really cool and was thinking of buy it but time just got away from me. Its probably still on his sights. The other...

    What Happened to Lifetime17?

I love that the 501B hosts come in different colors, it makes them look really good side by side. How do you keep the copper sink clean? I sprayed ny copper sink with clear coat. Its still shinny now but in time I might regret it as it wears off:unsure:

    What Happened to Lifetime17?

A few of many hosts from Lifetime17. All of theses are 501B hosts, A PLTB 520nm doing 170mW A PLTB-B1 450nm at 2W A plug and play just waiting for a module, I have few modules on hand. A 501B with a A140nm at 1.2W with a extended battery tube that takes 2 "18650"s. Just grabbed a few out of my...

    What Happened to Lifetime17?

I wish I could say just do it but I know Family and work comes first. At least you guys have some DIY big heat sink hosts. Lifetime came close to buying the Harbor Freight lathe but he didn't like the plastic gears but I can't remember what he went with but it was around the size as Harbors and...

    What Happened to Lifetime17?

Your right and I like the triangle reference.. Lifetime17 'aka Rich" didn't make much of a profit and probably just broke even if even that on alot of his builds. He got a hobby lathe just to make nice focus knobs at first and then it grew to making custom hesatsinks and hosts when he bought...

    What Happened to Lifetime17?

His prices were very nice and affordable. Many buyers didn't realize just how much time and work he put into making full hosts or anything custom or making flashlights into lasers or his Plug and Play hosts. Plus the cost out of his pocket for his tooling. He got fed up and upset with members...

    680nm Laser Pointers

Lower power or not, like you said who knows if it works or could you burn off what hair you have??? Even a LED's would scare me

C3 Razor (1.6w 450nm) Any recommendations for batteries?

Stay away from any "UltraFire" or any battery name that ends with the word "Fire". Lookss like Aus Electronics Direct doesn't sell any ****Fire brands so thats good. Looks like you found what you need there. Also if there are any vape shops near by you can usualy find batterys there.

Large M25 taps with two thread pitches...

Wow I babbled in nonsence before.. I want to save face:giggle: Yes I was thinking working on a hollow piece tube and threading one end of the OD with a die, I knew the OP only had taps but if he were to build a host he would need a die. Its crazy not to buy a hollow tube instead of a solid...

Large M25 taps with two thread pitches...

Yup I didn't think type this through to well:rolleyes: I was thinking a flush type of fit between the host and tail cap.. I can blame it on age as thats a copout. Thanks for the pic and the chart.. Let me get my bearing together.. as i'm embarrased big time!

Large M25 taps with two thread pitches...

Oh, I kinds mixed up the words.. I would guess depending if you got a solid piece of Brass or Aluminum or a hollow piece you would need machine a undercut in the inside for the tap and need to machine down?? the outside and thread it so both the end cap and host are flush together.?? I don't...

Large M25 taps with two thread pitches...

It would be Super Nice to have a CNC that threads and taps.. Years and years ago I worked with 3 Axis Miyano, I loved how the cutting tools backed off after machining and didn't leave a score mark when coming back..

Large M25 taps with two thread pitches...

Do you think its safe to say that they might work on only "1 inch" or "25mm" OD round stock and really nothing else. Unless you machine down bigger stock on the switch end cap or the front?

Large M25 taps with two thread pitches...

You can always grind down the tip of the tap a little "if needed" on a surface grinder. Oh I think they can be used for sure. The M25 x .50 and .75 might be to course?? but i'm not sure. I would go on ebay to see how much the die's go for.
