    FS: >110mW PHR, >140mW 4x & >170mW 6x Blu-Rays

Ok, the job is finally done! (See the previous answer properly upgraded) It has taken a lot of time, first for the care I have had handling the famous Igor lens , then for several problems that, according to the Murphy's law, always happens when you have something serious to...

    FS: >110mW PHR, >140mW 4x & >170mW 6x Blu-Rays

Updated: 2009-09-02 Ok, hereunder are the two comparison sets. I have still used the glowing paper, and I have shot two pictures for every example: the pictures reporting "Active" have been taken with the laser still beaming, while the pictures reporting "Recorded" have been taken one second...

    FS: >110mW PHR, >140mW 4x & >170mW 6x Blu-Rays

Well, to-day this has been my usual "grand-father day", as my daughter and her husband have restart working, while the children-garden is still closed, so I spent the whole day with my 4 years old grand son..... only this evening I have found the time to read the last news.....ugh, so it looks I...

    FS: >110mW PHR, >140mW 4x & >170mW 6x Blu-Rays

Yes, TJ, you're right, it was already settled! I just have had the opportunity to take some shots of the IgorT FIRST (and unique, actually) Medium Lens beam, making a comparison....:yh:

    FS: >110mW PHR, >140mW 4x & >170mW 6x Blu-Rays

Jay: Well, I admit I have been slightly irritated by your comment, ok, no problem; the point is that I always do of my best to be objective, in spite of the results..... Now, let us come back to the meaning of the pictures: as you surely remember, Igor made a long research about the lenses...

    FS: >110mW PHR, >140mW 4x & >170mW 6x Blu-Rays

I was sure it was going to happen.... Well, no more comment; I have really carefully repeated all the job, checking three times for the focusing, and herebelow is a new picture of the two dots focused at the best (the lasers and the support were still in place). This IS the lens I got from...

    FS: >110mW PHR, >140mW 4x & >170mW 6x Blu-Rays

I have spent part of the night and all this day thinking at the yesterday test; something was not sounding right to me, as the pictures taken with the glowing paper were not showing what I saw with my eyes. So I covered a 3 mm. thick aluminum plate with an orange self-adhesive film, put it on...

    FS: >110mW PHR, >140mW 4x & >170mW 6x Blu-Rays

Traveller: Odd or not, this is a picture; I repeat what I wrote: "...collimated dots are very bright, and leave a much larger central undefined zone respect to the real dot." Before sending back the laser, I'll try to make other pictures of the focused dots, but I don't think they will change...

    FS: >110mW PHR, >140mW 4x & >170mW 6x Blu-Rays

Yes, I know you have to mount the lens in a metal lens nut :yh:... I have already sent a message to him informing of the lasers arrival, but no answer, it looks he is moving in these days, BTW I'll ship the 6x BR + lens back to him as I'll receive his confirmation, I still have a 300mW and more...

    FS: >110mW PHR, >140mW 4x & >170mW 6x Blu-Rays

Ok, I tried it! the two lasers (on their tripod) have been located at a distance of 10 meters from the glowing sheet, then focused on the screen. The camera has been located a little bit shifted respect the beams axis to avoid any interference, then the picture has been taken with the same...

    FS: >110mW PHR, >140mW 4x & >170mW 6x Blu-Rays

The difference in brightness of the borders may also be due to a different positioning of the IgorT lens inside the lens nut; as I said before, I couldn't remove it from the laser (I promised to Igor)....

    FS: >110mW PHR, >140mW 4x & >170mW 6x Blu-Rays

Hi Jay, both beams have been put out of focus in the same way, as the distance between the laser and the phosphorescent sheet was exactly the same for both; you have to think that there is a big difference in P.O.: my PHR with your lens is putting out 150mW, while IgorT 6x is a 260mW; then, if...

    FS: >110mW PHR, >140mW 4x & >170mW 6x Blu-Rays

Re: FS: >120mW PHR, 170-210mW 6x & NEW 8x Blu-Rays!! Oh, well, finally I got them! It has taken a lot of time, probably due to the fact that August is the "summer vacation time", and Italian Postal Service has suffered of a manpower lack.... BTW, this is the famous IgorT 6x BR equipped with...

    8x BR DIODES

LarryDFW: Yes, I know, you sent me a PM in date 07-12-2009; but as you wrote about this "peak", you only tested this level long enough for a quick reading. To be honest, I was thinking that the value of the "8x Owners" data was to give to all readers the feeling of how each laser will live in...

    8x BR DIODES

Darkarmyofone: Datasheet updated :yh:! He he, Dave is right; for the moment and for what I know (but it is not mandatory), Dave is the only member having a portable BR 8x with a "frozen" output of 512mW! (P.S.: If someone has a more powerful portable BR laser, knock on the...

    8x BR DIODES

iskor12 and jander6442: Now you can see also the Eff. plots relevant to the first Dave BDR-203 testing....:yh:

    8x BR DIODES

You are surely right, but the point is that, when I started with the first plots, the members were showing different data each other, so I had to "arrange" a simple I/Po graph with the annexed list of the owners lasers technical data. As you can see, the "General" graph is difficult to read due...

    8x BR DIODES

iskor12 and jander6442: both of you are remembering the first test that Dave has carried out on the first BDR-203 (now you have to be careful about the type of diode we are speaking of:D), while his actual efficiency curve data are relevant to a BDR-S03, also called "Kendall mistery". Anyway...

    8x BR DIODES

You can find Dave datasheet in the first thread of: Reviews - Possible 8X Sled from HighTechDealz Take care that he has done the test with an Aixiz acrylic lens. Then, in his answer #8, he wrote: "You can easily convert this data without re-doing the full test if you only want to know a...
