Any one tried this cheap driver?

I haven't tried this specific one but the other driver from existotem is good; I have some of his 750ma.. they have a nice IC and when heats inked can go up over 1.5A and solder quality looks better than this driver. What are you looking to push with the drive?

    Anything Wrong With This LPM?

LPM* And only a good reference laser (exactly strictly a power rating.. like a HeNe.. Since a way of estimating via a heated TEC or the like would destroy the sensor in question that wouldn't work. Obviously if you test a laser once at full charge ad few weeks later at full charge it's half...

    Anything Wrong With This LPM?

Even a 20w laser can be tested on a 5w meter. With the right piece of glass or mirror to reduce it by a known percentage.. therefore all meters are relevant as someone else has already mentioned. I wish you well with that meter, I looked at them as well but decided against it for lack of...

PERMANENT THREAD: Ebay& other internet FINDS of interest- read all the OP please sub

Re: PERMANENT THREAD: Ebay& other internet FINDS of interest- read all the OP please I have one like it.. it works but from a different seller. He offers 30 day returns and if you had big problems could force a PayPal return I'd say it's worth the money to try it. Not sure which diode I...

    Anything Wrong With This LPM?

Yes it could be a problem with this meter and head, because if there isn't any offset of 0 then you may have negative readings, or positive readings instead of 0. As astralist said differen wavelength calibration may throw it off further, so therefore you could be testing 50mw laser and reading...

Inside a monster 10000 lumens laser projector

What the heck is it called? Custom or a brand name?

    Why did my laser die?

You need to make a circuit for the servo, and make a separate circuit for the laser module. No need for a microcontroller to control the module if you have PWM already. That would solve some problems.

That's no good =( hope he makes it alright. WELCOME to LPF!

    Red laser eye safety

Clear glasses will not reduce a laser beam intensity enough to be safe for your eyes. Some safety glasses are made to refleCT and some are made to absorb... but clear ones transmit and allow it to pass. No laser is safe for your eyes, I will tell you I often use low power pointers to view the...

    DIODES on SALE!!

That's cool to have listing on ebay and such but you need to get active in the LPF community so we can get to know you and some feedback. You did give me the M140s I was owed and I appreciate that, but I'm still confused on Alex's situation and such.. anyway hope to see you around more often.

Hugsby XP-2 mod build with LPC-826

Thanks Rich and cool build Billy i always am impressed by your builds bud! I used the XP-2 and yours seem to be XP-1 they're great little EDC lights for a pocket also, once I burn out the LEDs I will use them for lasers. Let's see what ya got billy. Really appreciate you RICH! Let me know if...

Hugsby XP-2 mod build with LPC-826

Yeah all my boost drivers are very sensitive to voltage anyway. I've been using 1 primary and 1 lithium on m-type because 2 lithium is to much. On these LPC I use primaries only they provide plenty with the boost and runtime is 15 minutes which not to bad

Hugsby XP-2 mod build with LPC-826

Thanks guys, and I wish they wouldn't use that crap on threads I'd prefer to be able to open my unit. I wonder if that's what they use to hold their homes together?! And your right Lifetime, donate one to the cause!

Hugsby XP-2 mod build with LPC-826

So I had to take some parts from this light for someone's build so decided to rebuild it into a pen pointer for myself. It is a Hugsby XP2 and originally was a 120Lm 2x AAA flashlight which worked well but I needed a switch out of it and tore it apart. Well yesterday I put it back together but...

solution for current crisis:Host,Driver,etc..all the thing a hobbyist will need

Let's see what you can make tomfire? I have been testing quite a few drivers that I have made, still haven't found the right circuit to put out to public yet but I have used them in a few private builds already. Maybe soon I will open source my driver.. I hope you do not have a day job, all the...

    4 16000mah 6s lipos

This.. I'd sell em and get a 800mw 532 from JetLasers and a 10x.. that's like my lottery laser.

    Maybe dont ever do this

Great idea to aim the PJ directly at everyone.. (sarcasm) smdh. I doubt he is in scan mode either it looks bright as fack.

Have you ever harvested and kept PJ working?

I have been reading up on this as I have one that my brother would like to use as a PJ and I'd like to extract more than 8 out of it. I've already read about the resistor and diode method as well as some other ways to trick it into not error in and running.. just curious if any of you fellas...
