    Encountering problems...

See, that's the strange thing. The gap is still there. When I turn the diode on, I see a little light escaping out the back. It's evenly pressed in, and it's still defocused when completely screwed in. But, if what Madeye said is indeed correct, and Aixiz modules are not focused to infinity when...

I tried pressing it in further, but I take it this isn't enough, since it's still defocused...

    Pressed diode pictures?

Thanks again Blord! ARG, I've seen that picture, I'm looking for "real life" pictures, so I can see what it actually looks like. Site:laserpointerforumscom diode aixiz flush pressed image by cilegray on Photobucket That's a nice image, I'll try to get my diode like that.

    Pressed diode pictures?

Hey everyone, So, I was just told that my diode is barely pressed into my module at all, so I was wondering if anyone has any pictures of a pressed diode from the back, just so I can use that as reference, since I thought my diode was pressed in enough. Thank you! Alessandro

Okay, I'll try to press it in more. Thank you. I'll try to rep you once I "spread it around" some more.

    Encountering problems...

    1. I'm using the default lens for the Aixiz module, which came with it, so I assume it's in the right way. I can still focus the laser, but when the lens is screwed in all the way, the laser is not focused to infinity. I just find this strange because I'm positive I pressed the diode in all the...

    Encountering problems...

Hey everyone, So, I finally got all the parts for my laser except the host, and since I've been waiting for over a month now, I just decided to hook up a 9V and see how it goes. So, specifics: LPC-815 in an Aixiz module connected to a GhostDrive2 (which, strangely, I ordered to be 395 mA and...

500 Trillion Watt Laser... no joke

Shinyyy  So, OD2 goggles should work, right? Yes, that's correct. Million=10^-6 Billion=10^-9 Million-billionth=10^-15 (Also called a quadrillionth)

    Looking for a heatsink again

Hey everyone, While waiting for the parts for my first laser build, I've taken a look at a few fancy hosts, namely the TrustFire F22 and the TrustFire F25. I've done a good amount of searching but haven't found any heatsinks for them. Would heatsinks for other hosts fit inside them? Thank you...

    635 vs 650?

Thank you for the pictures, everyone. That really clears things up, as I previously saw no difference.

    635 vs 650?

Yeah, I guess I am. I can't find a comparison pic anywhere. Thank you though!

    635 vs 650?

Hey everyone! I'm just wondering, since I haven't found any pictures of it by searching, if someone has a picture (or at least description) of how 635 looks, compared to 650? Thank you!

    Signs of a damaged diode?

Thank you! I'll have to post my pics when it's finally get the driver and host and finish it up. Alessandro

    Signs of a damaged diode?

Not more than a second at a time, although I didn't allow more than 30 seconds for cooling between. The leads didn't bend or shift as they would on a melting component.

    Signs of a damaged diode?

Sorry, what I meant is heat from soldering on the leads. I haven't turned it on yet. I'm just wondering if there is a way to see if it's dead before I work on it more.

    Heatsinking required?
