Well the diode won't generate much heat so I would say try it out. Especially since you have 2 diodes. Let me know if it works well.

Hmm, I've never heard of that before. I don't know much about these DPSS lasers, but it might be misaligned? If that's the case, I would just buy a new one. Just remember, don't ever point them at vehicles (especially planes), animals or people. ;)
