Hi ZRaffleticket i also got a osram plt5 488 diode i am running it at 148ma with a micro flexdrive v5 the colour is so nice and its very bright.

I am going to use a microboost drive v5 would i be able to see the beam in the dark at 125ma.

I have got a cr2 keychain kit from jayrob for my 480nm build i am just not sure of what current to set the driver at that will be safe for the host.

Re: Osram PLT5 488NM 60MW Hi diachi i have built lasers before and have been soldering since i was 10 years old and stuff its just this diode was expensive and i was just a bit nervous thats all i just want to get it right first time and not blow the diode.

Hi everyone i got a osram plt5 488nm 60mw 5.6mm laser diode on the data sheet it says maximum rating of 150ma i dont want to work it at this max rating will 130ma be ok for the diode thanx.
