Thans for that info paul i so wish we can still get them microboost drivers the supply for them has dried up on them.

Its set to 150ma the laser driver thats correct but because of the high vf of the 488nm laser diode it outputs 105ma and still outputs 130ma with a g-2 lens that does not make any sense at all.

Very nice small laser u have there sanwu do make some real tight looking lasers makes me want to buy one now 488nm/490nm is a real beauty of a wavelength.

Hi paul my heatsink does have a set screw as well as the thermal epoxy.

The color is bout the same as my plt5 488 diode but it has that box around the dot and the osram one did not the beam quality is very good and thin i then filled the full back half of the aluminium heatsink with thermal epoxy and around the driver because its in a really small host and its...

I finally built my dtr 490nm laser its built in a cr2 jayrob kit the driver is set to 275ma its a microflex drive v5 i used a cr2 3v battery i know the laser driver should not handle the big forward voltage of the diode but it does no prob i also filled the heatsink with arctic alumina thermal...
