I don't use a test load I set the drive adjust to minimum hook up my fluke 77 on the 10 amp setting in series with the diode and another meter in parallel with the diode and as I raise the current on the driver I get the most accurate readings on voltage and drive current possible! I can see...

Test completed with two 18650s and the power at 30 seconds is now 1490mw no real gain so the battery is working fairly well OK edit: The alligator clip jumpers weren't enough to carry the load so now they are doubled up it now starts at 1.7 watts and after 30 seconds is at 1.5 watts with a...

its a A140 diode in there

I got my A140 diode today "thanks Dave" and put it together with a Microflexdrive in a 4171 host and a 405-G-1 lens. I set the drive to max 1.5 amps and fired it up! 1650mw to start then after about 20 seconds it settles down to 1450 and is fairly steady there, until It started to pulse shortly...
