    DIY fiber coupling?

You're almost right. PM fibers should allow maintaining poor beam quality in just one axis if coupled correctly

    DIY fiber coupling?

Guys, remember conservation of etendue. You just can't squeeze some things without increasing divergence.

Cheap supplier of lab quality equipment

In my journey to get orange coherent photos from P3+ I stumbled upon many obstacles the mayor one being managing and collimating pump beam. I started by using thorlabs cage system collimator setup but as anyone buying from thorlabs knows it's very expensive. LDH56-P2 originally used for...

    orange 607nm on Pr3+

Hi guys! Today I'd like to present my newest achievement, orange laser. The inspiration I'd like to share the details of my journey in acquiring an orange laser for my desk. Some of you might know that I initially dabbled with dye lasers. While they are impressive in terms of the range of...

How is it produced then? Raman?

589nm Spartan Yellow Laser — Review, Pictures, LPM Data

Just one thing. Did you measure filtered power or entire output power? Because this thing leaks a ton of both IRs, a bit of 532 and 561nm so unless you specifically filter for 591nm you're measuring total output power which indeed is much more stable. Mine puts out around 50mW of which only...

Shipping lasers to Australia according to the USPS

it's probably meant to be MW for defense or metalurgy power lasers. Getting MW peak power isn't a problem nowadays.

607nm and 532nm is not the same. ND:YO4 crystals have positive thermal lensing that makes resonator stable. Pr:YLF has engative themrla lensing so won't work in flat/flat (coating based) resonator.

New Colossal UV Laser Diode - Nuvoton KLC432FL01WW - 3.3W 405nm and Beyond!

Also pumping any blue dyes like cumarine basically requires 405nm or higher.

Measurements of mirrors for not red HeNe (for Pr:YLF)

I bought it here: https://4lasers.com/en/components/crystals/laser-crystals/pr-ylf-crystals They're Lithuanian company selling many different laser materials. if it's currently unavailable you may need to wait a bit because as far as i know they produce them in batches

could you share a link? I've been searching for something like this for a long time with no luck.

Measurements of mirrors for not red HeNe (for Pr:YLF)

In theory it works. Question is where to get prism with good enough coatings for my frequencies of interest? Best I found had around 1.5% reflectivity per side, meaning 6% round trip loss. Not terrible but a bit high concerning typical OC in Pr:YLF has transmitance of 2%...

Measurements of mirrors for not red HeNe (for Pr:YLF)

Problem is that all gratings I found have efficiency below 80% so Ill have really high resonator round trip loss. Exactly because NOS and used HeNe mirrors of all kinds show up from time to time I started wondering if they may be feasible

Measurements of mirrors for not red HeNe (for Pr:YLF)

I'm experimenting with Pr:YLF crystal that's capable of lasing at few visible wavelengths (green, orange, red, deep red) and I'm looking for selective mirrors to get specific wavelengths to lase. I have almost same problem as HeNe with red line being the brightness so I'm hoping to reuse...

I'd also be in for a module without housing. I have custom series of laser pointer's and I'd really like to keep them all in same form factor.

    Broken blue, 1000 MW 450 N M laser

Either way 1W laser is useless as a toy apart from very controlled areas. diffused scatter can blind anyone so to work without googles laser lab like room needs to be used to be able to control reflections. How do you intend to "play" with 1W laser anyway?

Doesn't contain much actual information, sounds more like marketing spam to me. Either way OPOs were able to make adjustable colors for a long time and in vis

Is this a laser pointer or a similar gizmo?

If I were to reproduce it in lab I'd hand dial OPO and keep phone in hand for shakiness
