You are welcome. I am doing something similar here like I did in Berlin and still am very exited about new diode laser wave lengths ;) Thanks for offering me the DPSS laser but I will pass on this one for now. Maybe at a later point.

    WTB: Any 477nm/480nm

Some 480nm diodes would be great, but any 480nm or 488nm diode except from NICHIA (too expensive though) were pretty rare in the last months. Hope this will change soon. Singlemode

How to make LPM by myself?

I am using an OD1 or an OD2 filter for higher powers and achieve an accuracy better than 10% (without spending too much time for calibration). It really depends what your goal, budget and amount of time to spend is... Singlemode

How to make LPM by myself?

Thermal LPM have a dead time and can not temporaly resolve fast fluctuations or even pulsed lasers, photo diodes can do that and cost just some $. There are pros and cons for both methods and depending on the application one of them could be superior over the other. Singlemode

How to make LPM by myself?

In a nutshell: Buy a photodiode with a large area (10mmx10mm f.e.), use a resistor to measure the photo current and an spreadsheet to convert it to laser power as a function of the wl (depends on the photo diode material). Singlemode

    Florida Shooting

That is a great point Paul! In a country such the USA, where the constitution is more than 200 years old, and in our fast progressing time one have to see the law throught the eyes of the people who made it. I am sure the whole constitution aims for more personal freedoom and happiness of...

Can't agree more! Adressing the core of the problem (which is almost allways an individual one) is the most rational solution. Singlemode

Looking for consulting and building services in all things laser related.

You can buy a laser pointer at your wl. What has your pending patent to do with this? Please provide more information to receive the required help. Singlemode

Looking for a solution of multiple laser beam from one pointer

A mirror has the purpose to reflect light. I hope you are aware of this, especially if you work with a a 20W laser and the picture of your setup shows one. Can you please tell us what your background is please? For somebody who works in a lab with high power lasers your questions are very...

Looking for a solution of multiple laser beam from one pointer

Why you think it shouldn't? You allready have a mirror in your setup. Buy beam splitters that can handle the opical power.

Looking for a solution of multiple laser beam from one pointer

Hi, there are devices called beam splitters (polarizing and non pol.) They split or combine laser beams. Then there are devices called mirrors. Two of them can overlapp two laser beams or orient them in an arbitrary orientation in general. Use a combination to achieve your goal. Singlemode

    Laser experiment

laserstudent, before a scientist designs an experiment he should make some basic assumptions and calculations. You assume that you will be able to keep all variables (beam profile, power, focus point etc.) constant except the wavelenght. Then you state that the only thing that should makea a...

Could someone help me out on this.

Thank you all for beeing such active and valuable members of this forum! I love to contribute here where I can and also enjoy to learn from the other members here (whose knowledge is extremely deep). I think I will be here around for a while ;) Singlemode

Could someone help me out on this.

Thanks, I was pretty busy the last weeks (but now I am back to my normal schedule). Allways find it interesting to read these kind of threads, where members dig deep into laser technology and I try to help where I can. Singlemode

Could someone help me out on this.

This is a spectrum of absorption and emission of Cr4+:forsterite. Not a Nd: YAG. It's spectrum looks like this: You see four emission wavelenghts. In theory the Nd:Yag can emit all of them. Visible wavelenghts are then achieved through sum, difference or doubling frequency generation...

Sharp GH04955A2G/ The New 495nm diodes

I have 20 diodes and will sell 10 of them. I focus my whole energy now at something that is more important to me, and had no time yet to bin the remaining 10 diodes. Will do it today and open a sell thread. Plase be patient, I have to work to pay for my bills like most of you. I will prefer...
