I agree with the location, even if it's just a country, however I don't agree with the age :) Some people may find it hard taking advice from someone who may be younger than them, or when purchasing a laser from them they may doubt there building ability due to there age.

Yea I know what you mean I was just messing :) The guy is pretty screwed up there's no doubt there, but everyone loves to watch someone else crash, that's why he has so many twitter followers.

You'll need a driver that can put out around 1A of current (I think) which shouldn't be too hard to find considering most of the drivers used for the 445nm's now put out around that current. You'll also need a suitable 9mm heatsink/module to focus it, I beleive meridith (something like that) do...

You should post a link to this over in the Artic host GB thread, might save pontiac some time and effort if he just sends his designs off to these guys to get it made and save him self some time and effort :)

Havn't really had time to read through the whole thread, but with regards to the OP's question, I'd say yes a minimum requirement should be implemented if possible. Something along the lines of 150 posts, ASWELL as 5-10 rep or something.

If your into some DIY work, then it wouldn't be too hard to implement something like this. You'd need to get a standard aixiz module which holds the laser diode, driver and allows you to focus the beam. You'd then need a heatsink for this to sit in, to make sure the diode stays cool in...
