No buy they are cheap to purchase on eBay etc. It takes two CR123A rechargeables, listed as 3.7V but put out 4.2V.

As I said earlier in the thread, the driver is set at 110mA which is a perfect balance between power and life span for this diode, it's putting out around 100mW on a full charge. This build would also be fantastic opportunity to replace the diode with something more powerful as well, since...

It's a PHR-803T diode set at 110mA so should be putting out around 100mW give or take on a full charge. Since the wavelength is lower (405nm) it still burns well and has a dark purple visible beam in the dark.
