Yeah, I think i'm going to get the 300mW one ... thanks for the info. I don't try to mod/fix lasers---i'd break stuff ! I will leave that to the experts here ...

I'm thinking of buying one of these ... it's a good price for an above-average powered 650nm. and I currently have no red lasers ... i dont care bout burning so much , more into the beam visibility at night and whatever...

govt. is using the julian assange thing to justify taking control of the internet the same way that the chinese government has ... lasers very well may be next excuse to squeltch liberties ...

Re: Beaming radio tower i can beam the tops of the buildings downtown here which is about 3 miles away with my 200mW rayfoss and see the reflection. fun stuff .

MMeyer --- look on eBay --- there's a guy in Hong Kong selling the red poly-carbonate goggles for $7 including shipping to USA and they ARE legit . I have 2 pair . I'm all for buying American but i'm not for being fleeced .

i like the "Large Fit-over" style can wear with eye-glasses or not . wraps around the eyes for full coverage/protection, as well .

I beamed my 1-watt 445nm(indigo-blue) up at the top of a high tree and an entire flock of pigeons? bats? starlings/sparrows all bolted up out of the tree and were chirping and shrieking ... haha ... pretty impressive ... definetly bird-control tech. i'd say ...

nice unit . i want to get into show-laser gear sometime ...

ah ok yeah even better ... maybe that's the one i'll get.

i wonder how successfully they ship to USA ? be bummer to have seized at customs. which one of those reds would be best 'bang' for buck ? there's an "old-style" and a "new style" 200mW. and some others. help ? thanks
