What I thought was one of the coolest things about the Challenger is the "soft start", how it fades on instead of just clicking to full brightness. Do you think the single mode will have that as well, or just multi-mode?

Definitely Sanwu man. It'll end up costing a little more than Sci-Fi (I'm assuming this is your first laser order, but you definitely don't want to order batteries with your laser in the same order..It'll get caught up in customs more likely.) because Sanwu doesn't come with your rechargeable...

Uh oh... Everyone's talking about how you need to really closely watch the duty cycles for a 405nm laser. I ordered the 405 Pocket series from Sanwu that does 200-250mw, and the duty cycle is listed as 45 seconds on/off. Is that accurate? Will I be able to extend the life of the laser by...

Thanks for the review! I ordered the same thing from Podo, just in the 405 wavelength instead. Also I got the G2 instead of G7 lens. What will the main difference between the two be, just beam divergence?

thanks, I only ask because Sanwu's website offers both a single and multi mode option. that must mean there is 1 of 2 different diodes used depending on which one you select then.

You mentioned the <10mw safety mode, is this something that comes only with the multi-mode version from Sanwu or is it also in the single-mode option?
