Hmm, thats interesting. Ive used a 8x burner diode and got it running straight off 2xAAA batteries(rechargeable and alkaline) and its been going for ages. Still, it is a risk coz i don't care about this diode. I would say it is possible to do it but the life of the diode is NEVER guaranteed.

Subject says it all. Is there a way to build a circuit which will "pulse" the power to the diode so to speak and as suck the output will be a blinking laser which POSSIBLY could be controlled(ie the speed it blinks at) with a potentiometer? Anyone have any useful links or guides which can help...

Re: GB Feeler DDL driver "plug n' play boards" Yeh im sick of buying them large PCB's and then putting the parts on and cutting it to size. The dust smells and its also a hastle having to wire the components on the back. I might buy more but first i wanna see how well i can put these together
