Yeah there's another little trick to make lighting cigarettes a little easier aswell. If you'll barely light the cigarette and then put it out completely, it turns the tabacco black on the end and makes it much easier to light with the laser. Anyway, this laser is for sale in the classifieds...

Alot of companies rebadge and resell CNI lasers. For example the X series from Nova are CNI's. For easily lighting matches and cutting tape without the aid of optics I'd guess around 125+mW One good thing about Nova is that if you pay for a laser advertised at 125mW, you'll GET a laser thats...

I've had both.. I did the Metal Gear myself (was pretty easy) and got a Dorcy jr from Ken. With the same resistor inline, the Dorcy Jr burns much better than the Metal Gear.

How difficult was it to break/remove the glue that holds the lens in place to make it adjustable? Just wondering because I just ordered a CNI 150 and I'd like to make it externally focusable.

Check out some of the vids of the Kentorch burning in the multimedia forum.. Amazing how fast Ken's lasers cut through electrical tape and even a dollar bill. That was enough to convince me.. Ordered mine earlier this week.

Sorry for bumping an old post but thats an awesome video.. I love how it starts smoking instantly!.. I just ordered one of these bad boys from Kenom myself and after seeing these vids I can't wait til it arrives! Hopefully I'll be posting some vids of my own pretty soon.
