Put a protective lens (not the trainer that the Arctic also comes with) in front of the Spartan and see what you meter. The arctic metered a small bit higher, than the stated Spartan numbers, without protective lens (same configuration the Spartan comes stock) and on the cheap stock batteries...

IMO, $20 shipped if far too small a risk to necessitate a the hassle of middle man to keep everyone safe.

Indoors, cant see the beam so well with glasses on, dot color is dependent on target. Outside at night, no glasses, beam is a deep blue for me. Dot also looks blue out there. Friends agree that it looks blue (with no prompts, simply “what color does this look like to you”)
