Good discussion going on here! I think that much of someones attitude depends on how said person was raised, mode of living, and type of parents they had. I know that I could be considered noobish, still have a low post count. But I am here mostly for the wealth of information and experience...

+1 for you! Thanks for sharing that video, very cool. Have you tried checking with mi-lasers.com? Sometimes they sell used co2 optics-focus lenses there, usually at a good discount. It may be hard to find the optics your looking for though. :cryyy:

Cool project you have there! I like how you incorporated all the components in that rifle like host. The optics are gonna be a toughie. Almost sounds like you need to " scale up " something like an Axiz 3 element lens, or maybe a single element lens, like a 405 G1. But in, Znse or germainium? (...

Nice, i had considered building one of these myself a number of years ago. But never quite got around to it. I think it's pretty cool how you can get regular atmospheric pressure air to lase! :cool: Have you tried adding a mirror on one end to double the output...

^^^For me that's pretty much all of the above! Except for the back and nerve damage. Advil+chocolate milk afterwards seems to do the trick for me. As well as trying to stick to ONE kind of drink.:beer:
