    SOLD: 150mW-180mW Green (532nm)

Re: FS: 150mW-180mW Green (532nm) That is not a very good guess. Your price is low so it will sell regardless. But people should know what their really getting. It's likely this unit puts out around 50mW. Maybe 70 on a good day. good luck

    Hello from New England!

Good to see a fellow New Englander :) What sort of lasers were you interested in last time?

    O-Like very cheap 100mW red

Do not use this laser near any animals.

Looking for laser pointer for pointing at stars.

For astronomy I recommend a 50mW 532nm (green) laser. After you've been outside in the dark for 20min, anything more powerful than that would probably ruin your night vision. Red is harder to see so IMO it's not the best choice for astronomy (unless I had >500mW of it). Stop looking at Amazon...

I'm a little bit paranoid about my laser but I want to keep it... Safety questions

I would get this one. Eagle Pair® 190-540nm & 900-1700nm Laser Safety Goggles

Where to buy 'em these days?

Their green pens are amazing, really tight divergence. Not anything like Chinese crap. The case is heavier & more solid, the threads are thicker and every unit I've read reviews about were over-spec. Both of mine are over as well.

I'm a little bit paranoid about my laser but I want to keep it... Safety questions

Well you could spend $90 at Laserglow for OD 7+ goggles but you would have a hard time seeing the dot I think. The Dragonlasers are OD 4+ which should be sufficient. The yellow ones you linked to, even though they are more expensive, they have a higher light transmission rate which is better if...

I'm a little bit paranoid about my laser but I want to keep it... Safety questions

No. With a laser of your power I would get a red lens. Something like this... Green, Blue & UV Laser Safety Glasses & Goggles | Dragon Lasers Also, try to edit your post rather than posting 2 in a row, it helps with the clutter. thanks ,)

I'm a little bit paranoid about my laser but I want to keep it... Safety questions

No, IR filters will not take the danger out of lasers. They just make them slightly less dangerous. You don't need to worry about IR with the 445nm. It doesn't emit any. A quick search here will find you lots of goggles. Make sure you get the right ones. As far as whether it's the heat or the...

    Groomsmen Gifts

Congratulations! If your groomsmen aren't laser enthusiasts, why not get them each a nice LED flashlight w/battery & charger? Sometimes they come with colored filters that make them even cooler.

    Battery Question

I use a single 10440 and a dummy cell in some of my pens just like Pyro suggested. In my experience the Li-ion's put out more current than alkaline's at least when fully charged. BatteryJunction

How much have you spent on lasers

I would love to know how many they sold and who bought them.

How much have you spent on lasers

Not easy but not impossible. I've seen three for sale over the past two years :undecided: I just really like the host. Wasn't WL selling those for ridiculous prices a couple years ago? Like over a thousand? Maybe that was a 473nm model? Or were they always 405nm's? that you got one...
