I just left them the same I didnt think that it would make a real difference. Allthough it would help to keep the batteries going in the right way (neg to spring).

OK well Dont mean to go post crazzy on yall but I figured out the batery holder. It is actually quite easy to convert to series. There are 4 cuts that have to be made to the holder One on the top and bottom on each board. You will have to remove the switch to do one of the cuts but it's not...
