    I would go higher than 1.8A.. at the very leist 2.2A 2.3. and I havent seen a Xboost yet but it sounds like I should get one.. Personally I am going to go for a x-drive 2.6A on mine and use the modded carrage.

    well that was what I was thinking.. I need mounts so why not but I have a mits300 and 2x m500's that I can play arround with I have a SM110 too.. but I have a couple crystals on the way for a 532 and need mounts.. I have absolultely nothing for a bench system all my stuff is for handhelds...

    I ran a blitzbuck on mine with 12V input. Is your only option is 1 battery? The X-drive can take up to 16V too. I dont know of a boost that will hit that 2.2A unless the new FMT will. you may have to paralell some if you need to boost. As far as the diode goes I would definately go the...

    Most of them other than say ceramic are somewhat conductive the like arctic silver the main ingredient is silver wich is conductive same with alumina which is also conductive. You need a ceramic base to be non conductive or some other ingredient.

    TBH the sky ray will need some work machining on the heatsink because of the side button I am going to let JayRob take a look at it for me to see what can be done I was hoping for a DPSS but I dont think it's a good choice. will wait and see.
