Try measuring at a distance of at least 100 yards/meters and see if you are still getting 2 mRad. I'm certain you wont even be close.

No, the lens can be unscrewed from the module. You need to clean off the epoxy seal with a pick first. If necessary, you may have to hold the module steady while you remove the lens. The module can be held with needle nose pliers. If you are not clear on the procedure, you shouldn't try it...

Tried to boost the power of the original Super Beast by pot mod. Just turned it very slightly, less than 1/8 turn. Killed it. Turning back to original setting had no effect. I puts out a faint green now, couple of mW. :(

Yeah, I got one. Tested a steady 80mW (2 min run time) with a nice beam, better than the Super Beast I bought. Comes in a nice spring loaded case. No pics now, will post them later. I like it better than the Super Beast. Also got the standard Green pointer. Puts out 30mW.
