I was thinking of getting a strong infra-red burning laser, and I've been told the ones Sky Laser make are pretty good. I've been looking at their portable laser model P808L 1500, was wondering if anyone had any opinions on these, what burning is like, and whether their too expensive? Ideally...

Would anyone else be willing to build and sell these? I have no experience building lasers, and I wouldn't want to begin on something this powerful.

I saw mention of 3W diodes for $70 available on eBay, perhaps this casing could handle it? Also do you have a tutorial? :)

Couldn't find any on eBay :( looking for ICR18650 batteries, preferably a pack of 4 but pack of 2 would be a start. Must be 3.7 volts and provide 2400mA of current (as specified by my Hulk Ultra 400). Anyone got recommendations on where to buy these? UK seller would be preferred :D

Got some goggles with a hulk ultra 400 and they cover 405nm, so no.

tbh just make your own. laminate an A5 printout they look better than they do in the photo

It's that kind of duty cycle that put me off buying a pen size green laser. I did want a Spartan GW300, but saw the Hulk Ultra 400 and was like ooooooooo <3

I use my green 400mW without goggles, I'm just not stupid and don't point it at my eyes or mirrors.

Clearly a wanker. I think we're only allowed < 5mW red laser in the UK anyway, but that didn't stop me importing a 400 mW green laser.

Nice :) I noticed 175mW seems to be the highest power you get in these pen sized lasers. What ever happened to Dragon Lasers' 200mW Aurora GW? Most powerful I seen in a pen! I bet the duty cycle was sucky though. That's a good buy you have there anyway. You won't be displeased.

Surely if the rain drop was going to reflect a laser in your eye the rain drop would be moving too fast for it to reflect long enough to cause you any damage...

Re: How many of your class IIIB/IV lasers have key My Hulk Ultra 400 has a key and a safety pin, I can easily remove one if someone does something stupid. My other pen sized lasers of course do not, but I generally don't let anyone touch them (or my HU400 as it's expensive :D).
