Re: FS: 405-G-1 Glass Lens Mod-28% Increase vs Aix
My lenses arrived today :) very impressed. Big improvement to the burning power!
For my leadlight blu-ray I simply swapped lenses. I didn't need to cut the spring at all.
For my kryton groove blu-ray I had to remove the spring entirely, it...
Isn't the point of the driver to protect the diode from the all famous electrical surge when you press the power button? No resistor on it's own will protect against that.
what RGB is that?
nope red and green at 1:1 gives yellow, but most yellow lasers using mixed red:green dont work properly 100% of the time, you often get one of the colours working stronger than the other. waste of money tbh
Because of how hard they are to make. They have very little support from manufacturers as diodes of that wavelength simply aren't required. They would provide no benefit over the current red/IR and blu-ray for data storage, not making any reason to spend thousands of dollars and labour hours to...
This looks like a nice set
- btw I can vouch for Andy's builds, they are very nice :) I've been interested in an IR laser for a while, but more 1064 or 980 nm.
Re: daguin's Penultimate Sale
Just thought I'd show all you what I've been up to today with the laser I bought off Dave ;)
Burnt paper very easily... my Hulk Ultra 400 can't do this.
Glow lights... better seen off the camera really.
I did also wonder why your battery was about 2mm taller...
Re: daguin's Penultimate Sale
Shit! This thing is ripping stuff in two... the very nanosecond I get the focus right (can tell by a squinting effect of the spot) masses of smoke pours out right away. Best laser burner I have atm... glad I got goggles now tbh!
Re: daguin's Penultimate Sale
Sorted :) Cut into 9cm strips, staying in very nicely. Took a bit of force to get them in, but that clearly will pay back with long-term grip. Didn't use any tools.
