That kenometer has got my eye :) Just wondering, but why would it require an external digital multimeter to display upto 10W? I see the LCD display has 4 digits on it, surely they can go up to 9999mW?

I have some questions before I buy :) 1) Does this thing run off 240V AC? Or must I buy a voltage converter to get it on 120V? 2) What is an external DMM for up to 10W measurement, and how would one be used? 3) Any left? :D (and how much to ship one to the UK)

That Kenometer is cheaper than a LaserBee Deluxe by roughly $50... What is this external DMM required for up to 10W measurements, and couldn't I just use an ND4 filter instead?

I've been searching around and found that most of the LPM's discussed are no longer made, so I thought I'd ask you all directly :) I'm looking for a laser power meter that can handle some stronger lasers, upto around 3W. Also from 405nm to 1064nm. I did consider a LaserBee as they are priced...

You're going to be hard pushed tbh, even on eBay. I've got some from hong kong before, they work fine.

I'd test one if I had the means to do so

Pro tip: That link is just a charger alone. It does not come with a battery. eBay always has plenty of batteries, just make sure you check out the seller feedback first as always. They are often sold in packs rather than individually. Also try and find batteries that have some protection...

Thanks, 1.2 mrad seems pretty great for a collimated infra-red laser... is 100uM meant to mean 0.1mm? or 1mm? :) Still, seems pretty good. It's pay day soon. Until then I will give this laser some good thought.

What the hell... Did you try the appropriate battery? Perhaps the laser works just fine, and he acctidently sent you the wrong battery. Have you even contacted him directly about this? It is not fair at all to call him a conman if you have not tried any efforts to rectify this in a civilized...
