only problems with high powered greens is stability :( well my RPL-400 only goes over 500mw for a few seconds, thats during a flat 5 minute run from fresh batteries. my peak was 534mw. im guessing the peak on this maybe close to 600mw with average power between 440-480mw :o

DONT get a protected battery whatever you do. the RPL's have a battery protection circuit built inside them. if you used a protected battery, that would double the protection leading to significant output decrease.

ok this is going to sound a little strange, but sometimes on a night i shine my blue laser out of my bedroom window and i keep seeing a bat hover around my garden. there is a bat or two in my street but everytime im playing with the blue laser, im sure i keep seeing it whizzing around my garden...

my WL 532nm shades seem to block the bluray by a margin, but im yet to suffer a direct hit. its time i bought some proper UV goggles, cant take any risks.

you arent going to get a better first laser than this. very nice review to go with it. its law - you have to christen it with a 10 balloon pop and a 3 meter matchlight :D if you get chance, some outdoor beamshots would be nice.

i saw a cni like this from lasers_corp claiming it was 50mw, it sold for around $500. feel sorry for the person who bought that, got scammed badly.

i got a free 55mw green when i ordered my RPL Blue. this unit with fresh lithiums in it, averages 78mw over 1 minute and about 73mw over 3 minutes. how about that for a quality 55mw pointer :D

if CNI/LG cant make 10mw portable yellow, i doubt DL will be anywhere near a steady 8mw. $7-800 for a yellow in the spartan body would be too good a deal but im guessing the price for this will be more near $1500.
