    >50mW 473nm Lab for 290$ shipped!

Its worth is something you should have evaluated before saying you were going to buy it, now isn't it?

    >50mW 473nm Lab for 290$ shipped!

you made the offer, you're obligated to purchase the laser.

Randomly recieved a free Arctic in the mail.

what i still don't understand is that you are justifying keeping a $300 laser because you lost $30 a year ago.

Re: A short session with a 1W> 532nm DHOM. this isn't laserchat, GBD :na: "/me" is less effective.

    WTB orange/green HeNe PSU

hi, i have a few Helium neon tubes coming in and need a PSU for them. the tubes need at least 7-8 mA at around 2.8 kV. if you have one that you are willing to sell, make me an offer.

feeler: arctic, spartan, and diy corrective optic mount

the lens position varies too much to make a practical mount. sorry :(

Randomly recieved a free Arctic in the mail.

i haven't heard anything about arctics not showing up. even though the ones that did show for the most part weren't quite up to par (mine has some of the shoddiest construction i've seen in awhile).

Well, there is the right thing to do and the profitable thing to do, it's up to you in the end.

i got a refund from WL when i sent my arctic to have it replaced, that was confusing as well. you should probably contact them and clear it up like i did.

a laser light from living biological material

hmmm what kind of duty cycle would one expect from a jellyfish? and, most importantly, will the jellyfish be able to pop a balloon? i ask the important questions :p

Mohrenberg Silicon Wire Review (image heavy)

at the voltages i was testing, i had no problem with the insulation thickness. though, i agree and would never touch the wire at that high of voltage, the point was to demonstrate that the insulation would be thick enough for most laser enthusiast's needs. as long as you don't solder with a...

    Laser for engraving question

DO NOT put a co2 on one of those printers, unless you want it to destroy itself. the printer is made pretty much exclusively by things that absorb the co2 wavelength. you are pretty much limited to a 445 diode so you can cut out paper and maybe thin wood. (if you want to cut aluminum, you will...

    new to lasers... need help

coke: start small, learn how to handle lasers safely. after you've been here for a bit and are more used to dealing with lasers in a safe manor, then i can start recommending solid sate lasers that give immense amounts of pulsed energy. lasers like the SSY-1 are by no means a proper first laser.

    Tem01

point it down and give it a few gentle taps (like a ketchup bottle except gentle), keep it pointing down and turn it on. if you get the tem01, then its pocket lint. new wish blu-rays have a lot of space for lint to hide.
