I'd say 594.1nm is my favorite. However, I also like 542.5nm its almost like those 556 but a bit greener.

i use HeNes for my cat, great lasers but a tad bulky

a little update from left to right: 445nm, 473nm, ML argon, 532nm, 543nm, 594nm, 633nm the lasers: just the HeNes:

you need to use dichros (like in the white fusion kit). you could combine them using a prism but that is easier said than done.

Things has the design that is used by professional co2 cutting systems. Co2 has some of the best divergence that you can get in a laser. However, the beam is not "small" and you need a ZnSe lens to culminate the output.
