All of my laser pointers are eBay lasers. IMO there's nothing wrong with having them in a collection, especially since they're a dime a dozen. If one breaks (which it undoubtedly will) it's not a big deal to replace it. Then again, maybe you shouldn't take my word for it since I'm a labby guy...

561nm could also be an OPSL. Same goes for 532nm (though it's pretty uncommon). But in this instance, I think the "Diode/DPSS" label on the controller pretty much confirms that it's DPSS.

Of course it isn't. My diagram doesn't even give cavity or focal lengths. It's just something I spent 10 minutes on to show how you can have 2 crystals lasing on different frequencies within the same cavity. It was never intended to be an actual design schematic.

You can have two crystals lasing in the same cavity: Probably the easiest way to do it IMO, especially if you already have the optics. You don't have to worry about balancing wavelengths as you would with one xtal, and you can still get the intracavity flux for SFG.
