    cool new laser @ DX

Oh sh :shhh: T. My bad just took a look on the order tracking part and it seems my order shipped today. They also up graded my shipping because it took forever. Arrival date is in a week, maybe DX is getting a new system of shipping and packing so that orders come out quicker. Mike

    cool new laser @ DX

I ordered somethings about a month ago and the order was split. Just last week two things shipped and the other two are "waiting for supplier" do you recommend that I file a dispute. Mike

Better than a 5mw but can be on for 60sec

Clif at CajunLasers sells a few 50mW lasers. He gives the best customer support I have seen till this day, and is really a great guy. Shipping is quick and the price is right. What more can I say. Mike

    Pressing the diode is impossible????

Get a vise. Its a great investment not only for lasers. But if your impatient pick up a c-clamp or pliers

    Pressing the diode is impossible????

Oh ya I forgot about the pliers! Nice catch Piferal! Give that a try too. @Ginhev123 Inform your friend about how delicate these are and some common safety measures. If he takes the back off to check it make sure he understands ESD and how he needs to be clean.

    Pressing the diode is impossible????

Ive never had any issues with them twisting and Ive probaly place at least a dozen diodes in. On my clamp the head that presses down doesnt sit on the screw in place but sits on a ball attached to the screw so that once pressure it place the head stays where it is. Mike

    Pressing the diode is impossible????

It's not as much about the sudden weight on it but more about constantly pressing weight on it. I don't think the laptop will doing anything. There's also the chance like many stated above that you got a module or diode that were slightly off set. Mike

    Pressing the diode is impossible????

I had the same problem with my first diode. Its nearly impossible without either a vice or a c-clamp. Go to your local hard ware store and pick up a metal c-clamp for around $5. Works like a charm and better than a bed or a closet. Mike

Got my laser pointer today... interesting power output?

Im sure its just because its your first time. Mine seemed wicked bright then i got a 50 and a 100mW and it blows them out of the water. don't get me wrong though 5mW pens are fun!

Got my laser pointer today... interesting power output?

A picture or video speaks a thousand words. Cheap greens tend to do that. My cheaper greens need to warm up to work also. Depending on the temperature you are using it in many factors come into play. Mike

    My First 445nm Build.

VERY clean build there! I have a heatsink very similar to the one you have except it is thicker. I'd say you could get a continuous cycle out of it but just watch it every now and then. Depending on you power source those Lm317s get hot to but the fan should do a pretty good job. :D Mike

Experiment involving doing business with Nautilus Integration (drlava)

I agree In every way and form. I know for a fact that I had a retailer of his products ask him a question for me and he responded in under a day. I asked him a question a day later myself including my LPF account name in case he needed to contact me through here and its been four months and I...
