    445 vs 405

Compare the two at 30+ feet each focused as tight as possible, and see how much the 445nm "dot" doesn't burn squat when it's spread out to almost an inch long at a distance :D Up close both burn very well...

From concept to reality - Phobos host (taking orders)

Re: From concept to reality - Phobos host (taking pre-orders) Eud, this host looks great - count me in to buy one when you're ready to start making them.

    Cajun Lasers

They're cheap boards so even using one just to make the connections is worthwhile :) (Actually that sounds a lot better than the spring method I had in mind)

Frank did you solder a spring on the end of the driver board to make the battery contact? Just curious... never did a green module in a C6 before, always the hotlights, guidesmans, etc... with the huge pill areas.

    Trustfire TR-801 5 Mode 445nm :)

Nice that you can have a laser SOS device handy if need be :) I always like the modified product you end up with when your build is complete, especially the simple things like the blue GITD tail cap change-out from the green one...

Inexpensive, decent correction for 300mW Mitsubishi 635nm laser @ 94% transmission

Perhaps someone out there will get a free laser surprise package in the mail from Moh :san: Hopefully it was just some freak error or something.

Inexpensive, decent correction for 300mW Mitsubishi 635nm laser @ 94% transmission

You have to physically go to the post office and request your priority mail package be "registered" to get tracking, it also provides some insurance coverage I believe. Not very cheap, starts at like $10.50 per package, which almost makes EMS mail a better choice for only a few more dollars. I...

    How boost converters work

Thanks for the tip, I didn't realize posts had expiration dates... I suppose in this forum, I should have started a new thread "how much does it cost to build a flexdrive" - sorry I forgot where I was for a minute - lol (might wanna unsubscribe to some of these older threads btw)

    GB: $16 Aurora C6 kits

Matt - love that new website!!!!! I see you will have the kits for the Mohgasm boards also  Hey I noticed when using the shipping estimator the light grey background makes it a tad difficult to read the shipping rate(s) since the font is close in color to the background, no biggie, just...

    How boost converters work

Being that the flexdrives' components are bought in bulk quantities, how much do you figure those cost to build?

    B50 Powerlight 660nm Build

Mitch, I'm going to put this thread in the product sales page, very nice job you did here :gj:. I'm sure glad I bought a few packs of those o-rings, that's two hosts so far I've seen you change out to those where they look MUCH better than the original black o- rings! Eud does fantastic work -...

    Clif and Cajun Lasers

Nothing exciting.... yet, some C6's and our old friend the guidesmans, both are good sellers, at least they were for me :) So I figured I should stock up on those, but I do have 3 other hosts on the way that I'll send to Eud to size up for me. He did a great job on those B50 heat sinks, and the...

Anyone heard of Warrior Tactical Lasers? a.k.a Jay Peoples?

Personally I didn't like the way that host is made, with the whole double over under spring thing going on in the head, positive and negative battery contacts waaaaay too close for my comfort. Can't do much more for it I don't believe just because of it's inherit design. I'm curious why it...
