    No reaction from www.laser66.com

I've bought from Will many times and have had very good dealings in the past with him, but lately his communication has been very minimal for some reason. I hope all is well with him.

Does this sound right to you?

Thanks Hak! Yea I like to pop in every now and then :shhh:

Does this sound right to you?

I didn't even think about that one - it may mess with the inductor coil's function though right? The coil is the square part labeled C222

Does this sound right to you?

If you can, set it to just measure volts or millivolts. Sometimes those autorange ones will cause reading errors. At least, I've seen that when taking other measurements outside of lasers.

Does this sound right to you?

Is it an auto ranging type meter? The slow current dropping I can maybe see, not sure on the initial big drop... Your batteries also sound adequate to me btw.

Does this sound right to you?

Boost drivers run hot by their nature, especially one that does 1.9amps. One reason you get that drop could be the battery is experiencing pretty good voltage sag or drop under the load (assuming your battery isn't up to the task), a boost driver will draw more current from the battery than it...

He just can't put that thing down  Howdy Moh!

MAGIC and IRON4D by rhd - Info and Guide

These awesome little IRON4D drivers are actually so small they're rather difficult to make from what I understand of them. Maybe if I beg Ben just enough he could make a few more for us :D

NEW! The Blitz-Linear: Very Low Drop Out, 1A Adjustable Linear Driver

Nice work on these Wolfman! It's nice to have an entire side of a board dedicated for heat sinking purposes, and I assume if one wanted to they could easily thermal epoxy the board to any heat sink of their choice so long as it's electrically isolated from the build... or just stick one of those...

MAGIC and IRON4D by rhd - Info and Guide

Haha! For some reason I read that part as "diode toilet" I would think that would be fine, considering the IC's touch the diode's baseplate... just don't get that stuff on the diode's face/window. And like ApexProxy suggested the epoxy hardens, I would think this would be a better...

MAGIC and IRON4D by rhd - Info and Guide

There is also the 700mA version for the 300mw diode, I believe the beginning of that diode's peak power on the curve was at around 700mA. IIRC the power didn't increase substantially beyond that current, at least not without massive cooling / heat sinking. I would use the 1050mA on the 500mw...

MAGIC and IRON4D by rhd - Info and Guide

If I recall... I think many people had them (300mw ones) doing pretty good at about 925mA as long as they have decent heat sinking.

MAGIC and IRON4D by rhd - Info and Guide

I only have 5 of those 500mw Mitsu diodes, very slow selling diodes for me... I'm going to put them up at my cost on the site now for $75 each plus the normal shipping of $2.99. Once I pay paypal fees I will actually lose money on these, but I've had them for too long now :p Please use no...

    For Sale: Internal Lens springs

If his springs are anything like mine (I suspect they are very similar) there's no need to double up, very tight hold on the lens. Probably no harm in doing it, just overkill.
